I know you basically can go mountain biking year round if you want to but what would you consider the end of mountain bike race season?

Some of my best events were when my kids had fun too.

I hear a lot about “kids these days”. “They’re softer than we were at their age”. “Kids just sit around on their phones all day”. Maybe that starts with us. Maybe, as parents, we allow that to happen. I saw an amazing group of kids this weekend that rose to the occasion, a group that took on the Face Challenge. When presented with an opportunity, they kicked ass!

The trail running community is amazing! We had some last minute course changes to the marathon that made it considerably longer and more challenging…not one complaint. Everyone just saw the new course and followed the course markings.

That’s why these are my favorite people.

You can still sign up online for one of our races in Town of Red River, New Mexico until midnight. After that you will have to register in person at Friday night or Saturday morning packet pickup. You can register your kids for the free Kid's Race on Saturday morning at the event.

It’s time! This weekend is the Enchanted Forest Trail Races in Red River NM. Not enough training for the marathon or the heavy half? You can still have fun testing yourself on the Face Challenge! Run up the face of the ski slope, all the way to the top of the lift.

Wild Horse 100K: Cowbells and Burritos!

The Long Course Crew is in for an exciting opportunity to support their riders! If you line up your vehicle on the road toward town, we will send you out 15 minutes before the start of the race to cheer them through De Beque for the start of the timed portion.

During the 10-mile neutral start, crew and the community of De Beque will be rallying to create a cheering section, showing the town's spirit. As part of the crew, you will not only enjoy complimentary breakfast burritos but also have the chance to uplift the riders with our collection of cowbells as they pass through town. Get ready to be motivation for the riders on their journey!
