“There are many ways to climb a tree”, the saying goes, and that is certainly true for the many ways a real estate agent can find new clients. Personally, I have never been a fan of buying internet leads. I have also never done any “cold calling”, and chasing after expired listings seems disingenuous to me, as I wouldn’t like it done to me either. For me, the most gratifying way to obtain new clients is through referrals. Those referrals can come from past clients, a fellow agent who doesn’t work in my area, or from my sphere of influence. There are a number of reasons why those referrals are so awesome: 1️⃣ They confirm that you’ve done a good job in the past, otherwise your name would not have been put forth. 2️⃣ The new client already feels comfortable with and confident in you. 3️⃣ You usually don’t have to compete for the job. 4️⃣ lThose leads are free! 🤩 So, instead of paying thousands of dollars to some large company for a monthly number of leads, my money and effort goes towards building and cultivating organic relationships!
