One my travel hacks with kids: They’re only as excited as you make them. Be your kid’s travel hype man!

Going to Disney? Watch all the movies that correspond with rides so they’ll be excited and understand what they’re seeing.

Going on a cruise? Show them what a cruise ship looks like and what’s on board.

Going to a city or historical site? Get kids books or watch kids youtube videos about your destination. The more they learn the more they’ll understand and be excited to see it when they get there.

We’re doing DC with my parents next week after my annual travel conference in the area. The public library & summer reading supplied our hype material this week!

Will they remember it all? Probably not but I will. Their childhood is also my motherhood. We’re going to enjoy it! ♥️✌🏻

Side effect of the day job: Hotel crushes

has been at the top of my hotel crush list for a while.

Other advisors in our agency have used this property for clients, but it just hasn’t been the right fit for any of mine until this spring. I found some good last minute rates and they jumped on it. They arrive in a few days after stops at Lake Maggiore and in Rome.

I mean a rooftop pool in Florence with THAT view? It almost brings a tear to my eye.

Remember those special perks I mentioned in my previous post? Prime example: I just booked 4 rooms for a cruise in January 2026 for some repeat clients. They’ll be sailing in the sun while we freeze here. ☀️

They saved $650 PER ROOM!

How?!?

I have access to group rates only available to travel agents. I could book them under that rate vs. the market rate listed on Royal Caribbean’s website.

Yet another reason to use a travel professional for something “easy” like a cruise that you could potentially book yourself.

*Group rates based on ship, sail dates, and availability.*

Happy Global Travel Advisor Appreciation Day!

Why is it important to use a travel advisor?
- Expertise- I do this day in and day out. I know airline tips and tricks. I know ideal locations and properties. I have in country suppliers I can partner with who are in destination. I know the ins and outs of complicated reservation systems for must see sights (Disney, Italy, Paris, etc.).
- Experience- I regularly travel to the destinations I sell!
- Curation- I can plan anything you dream up. I take your preferences and curate the perfect itinerary for you. It’s not generic. It’s personal!
- Savings- I have access to sales and perks via my supplier relationships. Not only can I save you money, but I can save you time and stress.
- Unique options- I have access to so many vendors with experiences you might not think of booking on your own.
- Continuing education- Anytime I travel I’m trying and touring new to me properties, excursions, tours, and restaurants not only for my enjoyment but so I can gain knowledge for my clients. I also regularly attend supplier webinars and an annual conference for education.

You let a professional handle other items in your life- finance, home maintenance, health care. Let a professional take care of your travel needs too!

What’s one of my favorite parts of travel? FOOD!

Every area of the world has a dish or type of cuisine they specialize in, and to me, that’s one of the most important parts of travel. Diving in and experiencing something that’s different yet delicious. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Some of my favorite things I’ve eaten standing up on the street!

I’ll never forget the first time I had gelato in Florence. The meal the Italian chef/Italian grandma cooked for us at our honeymoon villa in Positano was so simple yet so mind blowing. If I could recreate any meal I’ve ever had, it would probably be that one. Lately I’ve been dreaming of the pizza I had the last time I was in NYC. It was unexpectedly perfect. Fruit tarts on the Greek islands… Dole Whip at Disney… fresh bread and crepes in Paris… Indian and Thai food in London. I could go on forever!

I get antsy especially when it comes to travel. I don’t often want to go back to the same places let alone the same restaurants. There’s too much to see and do! Too many things to try! But if I want to go back and eat the same food at the same restaurant again, that’s the highest form of a compliment from me.

There are so many ways to make travel memories. What will make a trip memorable for you?

April 2024: My biggest month EVER as a travel agent.

I had large groups at all inclusives and on cruises for spring break. Multiple couples are traveling to Italy and Hawaii this month. Families have enjoyed Mexico and Disney World.

I’m busy and grateful. More fun to come this summer. ☀️

04/08/2024

Coming up for air to tell you where my clients traveled in March.

Stayed tuned for April’s update aka my biggest month EVER as a travel agent.

Beach day, meet pool day.⁣ Wouldn’t this be a nice view for fall break?

Royal Caribbean’s kids sail free promo is valid for at least one more day. The great prices are making those fall cruises look EVEN MORE appealing.

Possibly my favorite client update so far this year:
“The Mt. Fuji day trip was phenomenal! We had the clearest skies, and our tour guide said we were some of the luckiest people to visit Mt. Fuji.” 🥹

It’s a roll of the dice if travelers can see Mt. Fuji in Japan. On average you can only see it 80 days a year with fall and winter being your best chance.

My clients played the odds in December and scheduled a day trip. I wondered about it the whole time they were there. I got the email confirmation once they returned. Success!

It made me SO happy. I rode that high for at least a week of our travel “wave” season in January. I love celebrating the travel wins and once in a lifetime moments with you all. ♥️

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones and are the perfect mix of too full, exhausted, happy, and grateful like we are in our house.

I just sent out my last new quote for the year. I still have a to do list a mile long, but my kids are only little once. I’ll start on new quotes and inquires on January 2nd.✌🏻 Time to enjoy my family this holiday season!

If you’re a current client traveling or a client with an existing quote, reach out if you need anything. If not, I’ll see you all in 2024. (Minus a few social posts I have planned).

Thank you SO much for an amazing 2023! I look forward to planning more of your travel in 2024.

Merry Christmas everybody! We’re going to have a little fun on my stories over the next couple weeks to celebrate the Christmas season.

If you know me, you know I am super sentimental, value experiences > things, and I love Christmas. We’re going to combine all my favorite things and do a 12 days of Christmas travel ornament competition.

Whoever has the most correct answers for where my destination ornaments came from wins a $25 gift card of your choice!

Some will be easy… some will be hard.

It starts today with #1. Check out my stories for more and submit your answer there.

My #1 worst habit as a business owner is going radio silent when I’m busy. I know I should share more of my day to day here, and that is a goal for me in 2024. But when I get overwhelmed with all the mom, wife, and business stuff, my tendency is to hunker and GET. IT. DONE. I need to loosen the reins a bit and talk more though because the last few weeks I’ve taken care of some issues that people might not always think about a travel agent helping with.

But until I share all of that… I just need to say thank you. I’m busy because you all reach out for your trips. I’ve booked a little bit of everything this year, and it shows in my personal growth and my sales growth.
I’ve sold $625,000 of travel this year. WHAT?!?

I don’t share to brag. I share because I’m just surprised and grateful. I remember seeing another agent’s similar numbers last year and thinking it would take me a while to get there. I NEVER EVER dreamed when I started that I’d get here so quickly. So a million thank yous to the friends and family who book with me and refer me to others. I can’t ever say it enough.

I love knowing my clients and their interests. Whether it’s friends and family I’ve known for years who are now trusting me with their travel or new clients that I get to know and plan trip after trip for them, it truly gives me such joy to hear those interests and make them come to life.

It’s been a LONG week around here for a variety of reasons, and I got a call from clients traveling through New England yesterday. They were just telling me what a great day they’d had. ❤️

I suggested stopping in Concord, MA on their way from one destination to another.
They called to tell me how great Minute Man National Historic Park was, and how amazing it was to see where the Revolutionary War started. I knew how much they loved history when I wrote out my list of suggested sights, but hearing how much they loved it was such a bright spot to my day.

Whether it’s wineries, historical sights, food tours, hikes, sports, city sightseeing, or anything in between, I’d love to hear your interests and plan the perfect trip for you.

Hawaii: One location I haven’t spent much time on my social media talking about yet I have multiple clients traveling to this year.

Hawaii is a distinct destination with something for everyone:

✔️Beautiful beaches
✔️National Parks
✔️Volcanoes
✔️Scenic drives
✔️Snorkeling
✔️National historic sights
✔️Sunset sailing
✔️Hiking
✔️Waterfalls
✔️Amazing food
✔️Lush vegetation and landscapes
✔️World class resorts
✔️Big cities
✔️Small towns

Hawaii is also a commitment financially and time wise. It takes as long to fly there as it does to go to Europe and deserves a bit more time than your average week long beach vacation (especially if you’re traveling to more than one island).

Hawaii is also the perfect destination to work with a travel advisor!
I can help you with:
- Tricky flight details: overnight flights or day flights?, best seating, connection times, and schedule
- Direct you to which island is best for your interests
- Resorts: which one will fit your budget and preferences?
- Activites: So many to do and limited time! I can help you narrow them down.
**Hint: Some activities require specific advance reservations ie: Pearl Harbor.

Hawaii is magical, and it always helps to have an expert on your side for a once in a lifetime trip. If you’re thinking of going, contact me soon!

The last two weeks have been absolutely wild. Baseball, sick kids, travel quotes, final travel documents for clients, end of school festivities, birthday parties for my boys, but I can’t let another minute pass without talking about an awesome experience I had.

Early last week, I got to attend my first EDGE Conference. This is national Travel Leaders conference where our agents got to mingle with travel agents from all over the country and to learn more about offerings from our amazing suppliers.

I heard from some of my tried and true suppliers like Disney, Universal Studios, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Bedsonline. I also learned SO very much from some new and new to me suppliers I’ll tell you about in some new posts soon. Think expedition and adventure travel, river cruise options, wilderness Alaska options and more!

Most importantly though, I got to spend time with the amazing women that make up Picture This Travel. They are an inspiring and driven group of ladies that I’m excited to be a part of.

Happy Travel Advisors Day! 🌎

This career has turned into something I didn’t really even dream of a few years ago and I’m so thankful. It’s challenging and all consuming sometimes. Juggling it all can be hard but more than anything I’m thankful.

Thankful to curate custom vacations for clients and help them live out a dream. Thankful to be able to provide for my family and make some of our dreams come true.

Traveling in my late teens truly changed my life, and I love helping make it an important part of other’s lives.

(Also realizing I have zero pictures of me by myself on my travels. Really need to change that in the future! Love my fam and our birthday Eiffel Tower picnic though. One my favorite days ever. ❤️)

Positano and the Amalfi Coast: One of my favorite places on Earth and somewhere I have multiple clients going in May.

From April 21st until Labor Day weekend, there are 135 days. Out of those 135 days, I have clients traveling for 120 of them. June is completely full.

Multiple Italy trips, group Caribbean all inclusive vacations, US national park road trips, Disney World, Hawaii, England, Greece, Paris, and Belgium are all places clients are traveling in the next few months.

You all continue to blow me away, and I hope the trips I plan do the same for you! I’m so very grateful. ❤️

03/18/2023

This week has been ALL about Europe for me.

- Italy vacation: Florence, Rome, the Amalfi Coast, and Pompeii in May
- Amsterdam, Bruges, and Paris for a multi family vacation in June
- Cornwall, England: Transportation details with a current client booked for June
- London: Clients flying out today
- Italy and Greece: Securing advance Vatican tickets and booking transportation and rail for a May trip
- Paris, London, and Edinburgh: Selecting and booking tours for a July vacation

Seriously, that’s just been this week! I love all my clients and their destinations, but I’m not sure that anything captures my heart more than a perfect European itinerary. ❤️

Where in the world are my clients this week?

French Polynesia (Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora), Disney World, and a 10 day Southern Caribbean Celebrity cruise!

Later this week, I have a sweet family leave on a Western Caribbean Royal Caribbean cruise, and then next week a special couple is going on an adults only getaway to the unique and beautiful Hotel Xcaret in Mexico.

All different experiences and all fun memories!

Given all the ice I’m seeing out my window now, I’m a little jealous!

December and January have been wild you all. Between the holidays, traveling personally and professionally, sick kids, and travel quotes, I’ve been running like crazy. Thank you to those who waited patiently for their quotes. I’m FINALLY caught up to current requests!! 🙌🏼

I’m a little late to the game on this post, but it has to be said. I started in the travel business thinking it would take me a while to build everything up. I set a little baby goal for myself last year. It was my first full year, and I thought I was being realistic. Then I met that in spring. Then I upped it because why not? It’s nice to have something to work toward. I met that next goal in fall. By the end of 2022, I sold 2 1/2 times my original “baby goal”. I was amazed and grateful. I just couldn’t believe all the trips and ideas you all called me with last year!

Cut to January 2023. January is “wave season” for travel. Everyone is planning their year out and it’s CRAZY. I thought you all blew 2022 out of the water, but in January 2023, I’ve sold a 1/3 of my annual 2022 sales. This month alone!!! Our agency has had its best month ever. What is this life?!?

Thank you all for calling, reaching out for quotes, and booking your trips with me. I will do my very best to make them everything you’ve dreamed of! I’m so excited about what’s to come. ❤️

52 places to explore in 2023. Are any of them on your list?

Repost from

created a list of 52 places for you to explore in 2023, from the deserts of Africa to the koala-laden trees of Australia.

Travel’s rebound from the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed the depth of people’s drive to explore the world. Why do we travel? For food? Culture, adventure or natural beauty? This year’s list has all those elements, and more.

Where are you traveling this year? Tap the link in our bio to see our suggestions for your next adventure. Photos by from Flores, Indonesia; from Morioka, Japan; from Kerala, India; from Kangaroo Island, Australia; from Tassili n’Ajjer, Algeria; from Guadalajara, Mexico; from Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Brazil; and from Vilnius, Lithuania

Disney World was even more magical at Christmas time. From gingerbread creations, to Mickey’s Christmas party, Christmas fireworks, Christmas decorations in every park and resort, holiday treats, and seasonal ride overlays, Disney really does it up for the holidays! Seeing it all through the eyes of my kids made it all even better.

More details on my recent trip to come, but I can’t recommend traveling in December enough. Whether it’s NYC, Europe Christmas markets, Disney World, or somewhere else you’ve been dreaming of, chances are it’s really special with the glow of Christmas lights and holiday decor.

Last weekend I spent two nights on the newest ship, Wonder of the Seas, on an exclusive sailing for travel professionals. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn and have a little fun while I was doing it!

These kind of trips are definitely fun. Make no mistake about that! A lot of them though are spent running around checking out things so I can best inform my clients and other agents in our agency on all the new information!

I spent time touring ALL the room categories on the ship along with the kids clubs and spa. We tried out different restaurants, sampled a lot of the entertainment options, and spent time on Royal Caribbean’s private island, Coco Cay.

My favorite things I saw/learned while I was onboard:
- The Wonder of the Seas happens to be the largest cruise ship in the world (for now).
- Their private island, CoCo Cay, is a destination in itself, and I’ll admit I was skeptical before experiencing it. For research purposes just for you all, I even tried the terrifying water slides. 😬
- The Boardwalk and Central Park on the ship give some really beautiful and purposeful outdoor/green space that’s not on the pool deck.
- The options for kids are endless. The splash pad and mini golf would be so fun!
- There are SO many room categories on a ship this size so finding the right fit for each person is possible!

Let me know if you’re thinking about a Royal Caribbean sailing in 2023!
