🔻Let’s talk core strength🔻
Functional core movements incorporate exercises that are directly transferable to a person's daily activities and involve creating a brace. Improving core bracing and strength stabilizes the spine, leading to improved control of our center of gravity and safer movements, especially while lifting.

Try these three core exercises from Doctor Taylor Feimster that focus on anti-rotational bracing and challenge the core through extremity movements.

**It is important to note that proper diaphragmatic breathing is key to optimizing core stabilization and movement. It is always best to begin any core movements with 2-3 rounds of 10-15 breathes focusing on expansion of the abdominal wall in 360 degrees**

1. Pallof Press
Can perform in a kneeling, half-kneeling or standing positing using a band or cable. Use a moderate strength band or weight. Begin with hands at the center of the chest. Without rotating, push arms away from the chest, hold for 1-2sec, then return to the starting position. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps on each side.

2. Dead-bug w/ipsilateral variation
Begin on your back with legs and arms in the air. Alternate dropping opposite arm and leg while keeping low back flat on the floor. To challenge the ipsilateral movement pattern, use a foam roller or yoga block and brace with the same side arm and leg. Extend the leg and arm to the floor on the opposite side and return to the starting position. Perform 3 sets of 10 per side.

3. Bear Plank w/contralateral limb movement
Start on all fours. Press hands into the ground and externally rotating as if putting a lid on a jar. Curl toes under and lift knees up, hovering 2-3in off the ground. Maintain this active stance for 30sec-1min. Progress movement to crawling alternate leg and arm forward and back to starting position either for time or repetitions.

Happy Tuesday! In this video Dr. Bradley demonstrates Pulse Wave (aka Shockwave Therapy) 😁 This is a modality unique to Pro Chiropractic and the Gallatin Valley. Pulse wave has been a staple in Europe and is finally being introduced to the US. Pulse wave uses acoustic waves that generate oscillations in the tissue which carries high energy to painful spots and myoskeletal tissues with subacute, subchronic and chronic conditions. At Pro Chiropractic we routinely use Pulse Wave for treating Plantar Fasciitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Achilles Tendinitis, Tennis Elbow, and more! #chiropractic #bozemanmontana #pulsewave #pulsewavetherapy #shockwave #shockwavetherapy #helpingathletesachieve #painfree
