**Coding with Minecraft Camp**
Coding with Minecraft (June 3-7). We still have a few spots left! We are the premier 5 star STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) summer camp for students entering grades 4-7. These camps are taught by the top certified Technology Engineering teachers in Manatee County, in the largest Tech/Engineering lab in the county.
Camp Structure: Each day we will start off by getting out of our seats and working our brains with some hands-on engineering/STEAM challenges. We will then go to the computers for about 1.5 hours to focus on coding with Minecraft, break for lunch and some movement for an hour, back to our Minecraft challenges for 1.5 hours and then for the last hour of camp we do another hands-on project (usually art based- but Minecraft themed). Some of the Coding challenges our students will learn about are; algorithms/sequencing, loops, and whiles with a Minecraft animal rescue/rehab center; in depth looping, conditionals, debugging, and operators with our Minecraft Space center/galaxy tour; and variables/ cementing previously learned coding skills with our travel across time Minecraft world. Please let me know if you have any questions! Have a wonderful week!

I pride myself on helping to create tomorrows problem solvers, creators, inventors, and innovators. But more than that- I also want to help create good citizens, nice friends, and overall mindful leaders.
These summer camps are more than just students sitting at computers, or doing a few “projects”. As a technology engineering teacher with an undergrad in child psychology, it is my goal to truly foster growth in as many ways possible within the one week we have together. I want them to LEARN, get ENGAGED, get EXCITED, make new friends, and have FUN. I have the largest tech engineering lab in the district and we will utilize the space to the fullest! Even my coding camps are not sitting at computers every day, they incorporate a lot of hands on activities to get these kiddos up, active, and engaged.
Feel free to call, text or email with any questions, or if you want to find out more on my summer camp philosophy.
