It was a beautiful day for a ladies' luncheon with 1956, 1960, and 1961 classmates and a Southeast High School graduate. Names are included with the photos in case you don't recognize them.

Madison is a 2nd generation graduate of our Alma Mater following her father, Matthew Burnette, who graduated in 1997.

We're proud to introduce Jacob Chambers "Jake" Burdette, one of our 2024 scholarship recipients, and have included his thank-you note to our alumni.

Jacob is the 4th generation to graduate from our Alma Mater with the first graduate being his great-grandfather, Bernard Updegraff "Buz" Zoller Sr., in 1924, his grandparents, Jerry Zoller and Rhonda Cline Zoller in 1964, and his mother, Beverly Zoller Burdette in 1988.

REMINDER:

Inductees into our Athletic Hall of Honor must be nominated to be considered. Our 2024 banquet will be held on October 17th and the inductees will be introduced on the field during halftime at Hawkins Stadium on October 18th.

Nominations for individuals and teams to be considered for induction in 2025 must be received by 9/16/2024.

We received the donation of a very large scrapbook with articles from the Macohi from 1955 and 1956. It appears to be some sort of contest with ratings of the articles. We've copied a few of the pages and wonder if anyone who was a student at that time remembers anything like this.

Brandon Carnes graduated from MHS in 2013 and is a member of Team USA 4 X 100m relay. Brandon is currently training to qualify the last week in June for the Paris Olympics representing USA.

Brandon will also be inducted into our MHS Athletic Hall of Honor at our banquet on October 17th.

Please share your encouraging words for Brandon and his team as he represents not only the USA but MHS.
