This heat wave brought to mind the question:
Do temperature and humidity affect tennis string?
Short answer: YES.
Long answer: Poly strings are essentially plastic. Heat makes plastic soft. But the humidity doesn't do anything to poly strings.
Humidity is moisture and that can affect gut or other multifilament strings because of absorption.
Bottom line: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR RACQUET IN YOUR HOT CAR IN THE SUMMER!!
