Did another turkey gun. As a turkey hunter, I enjoy doing these.

Benellis typically get used hard because they’re serious, quality tools. With that, they usually get used hard for 20+ years and the finish gets a little beat up and needs a new go-round. That’s where I come in.

Customer brought me an old spray-painted Ithaca and just wanted 100% coverage in a “turkey hunting camo,” and gave me the colors he wanted. I start on the stock and there’s decent wood grain under the Krylon! It’s not curly maple, but I was expecting some bland birch and got this. So I suggested a stain and seal so it still had an older gun vibe to it, but would still look good with camo. I had to add a color to get the camo to my liking, but today when I sent him a picture, he replied it looked, “nicer than (he) ever thought possible.”

It was a fun one to do, but they’re always better when the customer is happier than they expected.

I’m back! Been off the ‘gram for several months moving, setting up new shop and well, just not bring on media much. Here’s a 1911 I did before my move. Really fun matching a rusted show truck for a guy who is really proud of this gun.

Challenging and very rewarding M81 camo job I just finished on a great gun. Customer is a good dude to boot. Knows his stuff so I’m happy that he’s happy with it.

Set of three Kimber K6S’s. Wasn’t sure I’d like it, but the customer ordered it.....turns out, I like it!

because .450 Bushmaster is pretty damn popular!

Sometimes just changing the color of the slide makes it a whole new gun. Customer said it looked “like it was dropped in peanut butter” with the stock FDE slide. A little two-tone can make it a whole new gun.
Pic courtesy of customer...I guess he knows how to take a proper gun pic.

They ain’t all guns. Got a 25 year old bow you’d like to add to the shop or the cave? Cerakote that thing and make it a coat rack. Old Hoyt AlphaTec that’ll be on the wall soon. Crazy Moon Cerakote is your one-stop archery Cerakote applicator, with a full archery shop and experience to disassemble, coat and reassemble your bow and ship it back ready to shoot out of the box.

Yes, I know it’s a LH grip on a RH bow. Just putting old parts together for looks.

They’re not all guns. The release on the right is going on 30 years old...beat up, rusted pins, scratches. The release on the left is the same age. It’s not all just fi****ms that benefit from a facelift and fresh finish and renewed lease on life. Crazy Moon Cerakote specializes in archery equipment, having a full archery shop with bow press, draw board and 25 years in bow maintenance to back it up. You one-stop shop for archery Cerakote. No need to have a separate shop disassemble and reassemble your bow.

(Edit: You’re seeing oil from assembly on the jaw of the Cerakoted release.)

Lots of Burnt Bronze our the door in the last week. Here’s a couple a sharp looking guns whose owners have good taste...simple, classic, custom.

Photos from Crazy Moon Cerakote's post 06/07/2020

done in Burnt Bronze...still lots of BB headed out the door! But this one was done to match a ****ms. It’s gonna look sharp on there.

05/27/2020

They’re not all black guns and camo. Sometimes it’s a RAM Mounts rod holder corroded from a few years of saltwater use and it needs to match a white boat.

When you mess around with non-standard camo colors and patterns...it doesn’t always come out like you’d hope. But double down and add another layer and it kinda looks like a “River Camo” with a dark bottom and glints of light on the surface. Anyway...back to the drawing board.

Brought a S&W back to life from a nasty finish. Good as new and ready for carry with a previous set of Mag-Na-Port traps.
