Bremerton Police Officer's Guild
Membership guild comprised of the hard-working officers of the Bremerton Police Department.
Welcome aboard!
Today we celebrate Officer Dave Hughes ("Willie 454) who will retiring June 9th. Dave started with the City of Bremerton in October of 1980 and will be calling it quits after an unmatched and remarkable career.
We have successfully completed this month's IPMBA bicycle officer training. Instructor, Corporal Brandon Greenhill said βIt was a great success, and watching each student do the final test was awesome! They did a great job.β
The 7 new officers went out on bike patrol in the downtown area and immediately yielded positive results. An on-view drug arrest was made and several other contacts were made.
Congratulations to Officer Vega, Officer K. Greenhill, Officer Pippin, Detective Gorang, Officer Williams, Officer Lopez and Officer Crane.
Special thanks to Sgt. Rauback, and Cpl. J. Ejde for assisting with the training course.
Congratulations to John Chesney who was nominated and voted for, by his peers, to be the 2023 Bremerton Police Officer's Guild Officer of the Year. Top three finalists included Kevin Peterson and Brandon Greenhill. Also nominated were Jacynda Hoyson, Jeff Schaefer and Sean Williams.
Proud of our female warriors!

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of former BPD K9 Esco. Esco was truly loved by all of his BPD family. We send our love and sympathy to Chris Faidley and his family.
Congrats to members Hakeem Smith and Jason Jennings, who were both sworn in today. This is Jason's second stint with BPD previously working from 2006 to 2010.
Officer Dave Hughes has served the city since 1980. Today, during Blue Team in-service training, his coworkers paid homage to "Willie 454" by donning vests, flannels and ballcaps for what, may be, Dave's last civilian attire training day.
Congrats to members Lucas Roessel and Michael Holsworth who both recently graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy and were sworn in today by Chief Wolfe.
December was a busy month for BPOG. Several members attended the FOP holiday party at the Kitsap Golf and Country Club. Member Brandon Greenhill was promoted to Corporal. Member Marty Garland retired after serving the citizens of Bremerton for over two decades. Congratulations to Corporal Greenhill and Detective Garland!
Today, Lt. Roessel, Officer Avery, and Officer Greenhill met with New Day Ministry to donate food for their Thanksgiving Boxes-this event provides 60 families with a Thanksgiving meal! Bremerton Police Officer's Guild also donated money towards this food drive!

This is a yearly event where BPOG and other BPD members donate to provide for the community they serve.
Congrats to Ryan Avery on being the 2023 BPD donut eating champion!
Great work by our members. Job well done!
We want to shoutout Officer Kellie Greenhill, Cpl. Peterson, and Sgt Garrity for their professionalism!
A citizen that had their car stolen wrote us these incredibly kind words.
Who do you think will win?
Great work Officer McComas, K9 Nox, and all officers involved in this incident. The finest police work was on display last night!
Tonight Officers responded to a violent crime of Robbery and assault involving a firearm. Officers located the vehicle and were able to safely apprehend the two suspects after a short chase and with the assistance of WSP aircraft and K9 Nox. K9 Corporal McComas rewarded his four legged partner with a hearty steak. Great job by all keeping the community safe.
Our most recent Coffee With a Cop event, which was graciously hosted by and . BPOG Presidnet Rodney Rauback made it in time for the group photo, but members Jordan Ejde and Brandon Greenhill arrived fashionably late...but no too late to miss out on the delicious maple pastries.
