Hello community!

We are sorry for the lack of responses for repairs. We recently lost our shop downtown and our insurance went up 5x!! We cannot work on cars without insurance and being a nonprofit, spending that kind of money on insurance for a year is hard.

If anyone knows of an insurance company that works with nonprofits, send us a DM.

We are so honored to be nominated for the 2023 Brentwood Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit of the year. Congratulations to Brentwood Rotary for the win. A huge thank you to our Board of Directors: Chris Friedmann, Jim Wangeman, Tandi Rucker, Erik Madsen, and Kevin Boles. And to our incredible mechanics, Rodney Smith, Brian Call, and Mario Metodiev. And of course our sponsor, Napa Auto Parts Brentwood. It’s been a great first year working with the youth of Brentwood to help keeping cars on the road for the folks in need.

Glenn from Clovis was the big winner of the tool box today. We raised over $5000 on this fundraiser. Thanks to all that participated in this. Thank you so much to Brian at BDM Tools for setting us up!

We are finally on the World Wide Web! A huge thank you to Marihelen from Perpetual Bricks for designing and launching our new website. Now it’s easier to apply for repairs, contact us, and donate to our cause. We even have an Amazon wish list if you’d like to purchase supplies that we need for the shop.

Marihelen also runs a non profit called Perpetual Bricks, a Lego activities group that hosts classes and events. Go check out what she’s been doing, super fun stuff.

Read about us on this week’s Brentwood Press. My wife’s name is Tandi, not Sandy. Lol. Big shout out to Rodney Smith and Brian Call, this shop would not exist without these two great mechanics.

We had a great time competing in the Brentwood Police Activities League annual Super Bowl BBQ competition. Sadly we did not place, but Tandi’s Bloody Mary Shooters were a huge hit. Thank you so much to PAL for their generous $5000 donation towards the program. This money was unexpected and will be a huge help to get some more cars back on the road. And thank you to Headout Hauling for taking care of all the garbage from the event. It’s so nice to not worry about a dump run before the Super Bowl starts.

I appreciate everyone’s patience. The shop has been full for big repairs the last several weeks. If we haven’t gotten back to you, don’t give up. We will get you in as soon as possible.

I forgot January 1 is a holiday and Glaser Arms is closed on Mondays. So we will announce the winner on Tuesday, January 3. I apologize for the delay.

We were honored to repair Alexis Gabe’s car for her family. We have a couple more things to do, but are waiting for some parts from the dealer. The car can now be driven and will pass smog. I was able to acquire a car that my late brother owned and restored so I understand the importance to have a piece of a loved one. Our hearts go out to her family. Thank you Gwyn for trusting us to take care of your daughter’s car.
