To be q***r is to be punk af. We are so honoured to have been a part of .of.living.events v ***rbash.btn and jam while raising money for the bestest cause! Special thanks to Harry for putting the event on. It was so fu***ng rad to jam out all day surrounded by our q***r and trans siblings.
We both felt the overwhelming sense that in the universe, right at that moment while we were head banging, that we were where we were meant to be and it put a huge smile on our faces. Feeling safe shouldn't be a luxury, but in a world where the feeling of safety falls short for many of us, we can still feel grateful for the spaces we create- the microcosms of q***rness where there is inherant understanding that we are all equal, and where we can surround ourselves with people who validate our right to exist and to proudly shout together "F**K YOU" to all those who do not. Saturday was resistance. Love. Power. That spirit means the world to us, as I'm sure it did for many of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for having us. It was a blast, but also so much more. Also massive shout out to .uk for capturing us the way they do and working so bloody hard and brilliantly!
