I finally gathered up the courage to try a hobby that I’ve been curious about for years but too scared to try. This is my first bone maceration project. He is a large rat. I know he isn’t perfect, and I messed up a lot with the back legs and tail. But I am learning solo with no classes or schooling. Thankfully I have someone to give me advice during everything. I am going to work on a bunny next.
(This was a frozen rat that we had thawed to feed to our snake. He never ate it and you can’t refreeze them to try and feed later. So rather than throwing him away, I used him to honor him for years to come.)

I’ve been going a different way with my shop after my trademark design had been stolen and is now being mass produced in China and I cannot compete with my own design. So I got depressed and sick and wanted to give up creating all together. But i can’t give up, creating is who I am. I’m so so excited about the newest piece I just added into my shop! This is my wire spider web! So I’ve been working on a few things that are NOT tree of life related. I am kind of refinding myself and my creative freedom. I’m working on so many new things and I’m having a blast doing it! This one is my Mini African Gray Dreamcatcher. It is actually made with feathers of an african gray bird that belongs to my mother in law. I just made the cutest propagation station ever! I had an old decoration that no longer matched the house. So I tore off everything on it, painted it and added some of my little spell jars to it. I now have 15 pothos propagating (Jade and golden).
