Many of you know I've had to retire due to health issues and I've appreciated your support, kind words thoughts and prayers! I finally have a date for knee surgery, June 4th! Hooray. Hopefully the other one in six months. I just want to b able to walk my dogs. For now we run around with the golf cart or short beach walks.

Just a tip, if your dog grabs your socks n shoes and runs away with them or chews them up ..

Our Graduating Class! Unfortunately, due to our close community being on FIRE and no water or electricity in Crescent City, many missed our last class! I have your Certificates! Call me when you can! I'll b at Camp Barry Tuesday 10-2.
I'm going to have to postpone the CGC class for 1 week. Looking forward to seeing u all Aug 8, 5pm, Camp Barry !

R U Ready? CLASS starts Saturday at 10 am at Camp Barry ( next to Parkway Feed ) 6 week course bring shot records and favorite treats! Register first class. We learn 10 hand cues and to walk on a leash correctly. You will also learn how to get your dogs respect so they will want to listen to you!
Dog's Anxiety and the 4th of July... Some dogs develope sever anxiety and it's hard to calm them down. If this is the case DO NOT comfort them(dogs are not like people).Positive reaction to their stress enforces their fear. You should remain calm and just acknowledge their emotion
Plan ahead: a thunder shirt can be helpful. There are many anti-anxiety meds, check with your vet,my favorite is CBD treats.
Sit with your dog during fireworks and play music.. Here at Karries Kanine Academy we put on a good dog movie n pass out big chew bones and just chill the night away.
If you do leave your dog for the evening be sure they are in a safe secure location and have appropriate id, just in case.
Don't take your dog with you to parties unless your positive they won't react to load sound n excitement!
