Did you know? Milwaukee has one of the oldest and largest celebrations in the country! The Milwaukee Recruiting Battalion had the honor of celebrating with Major General Johnny Davis, commander of United States Army Recruiting Command.
MG Davis grew up on 15th and Capitol in Milwaukee and attended St. Philips Lutheran Elementary and Wisconsin Lutheran High School. This week, he served as Grand Marshall of the Milwaukee Juneteenth Parade and had an opportunity to connect with folks from his hometown.

🎂 Today is the 249th Birthday of the United States Army, and we are celebrating 249 years of our Soldiers’ service to our Nation. Since 1775, the US Army has answered the call to defend and support America and will continue to do so in the future.
🇺🇸 Thank you to all of our recruiters for inspiring the next generation of service.

An outstanding event this weekend with the Community Agricultural Growing Experiences team with our neighborhood cleanup and cookout! The Andre Lee Ellis & Company Community Garden is doing great things and we are proud to partner with them.

U.S. Army soldiers team up with C.A.G.E. Milwaukee for community clean-up The team-up is meant to commemorate the U.S. Army's 249th birthday coming up on June 14.

80 years ago, General Eisenhower issued this order of the day to the forces under his command on D-Day. He had begun working on his draft in February, knowing that what he was asking of them would be all that they could give. He knew that the beginning of our victory would be the end for many. Today we remember the courage of all those who fought in support of the D-Day invasion of Normandy.

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hope and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of N**i tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is will-trained, well-equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.
I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory!

🇺🇸 We had an absolute BLAST celebrating Milwaukee Armed Forces Week at the Wisconsin Warrior Challenge this weekend! The planners always do such a great job with this event and we love hanging out and hosting the obstacle course.

'I like pushing myself to the limit': teens take on military-led obstacle course The third annual Wisconsin Warrior Challenge was in full swing Saturday at the Harley Davidson Museum grounds.

This is the 40th anniversary of Military Spouse Appreciation Day, which was first recognized by President Reagan in 1984. Today and every day, we thank our US Army spouses for everything you do for our Soldiers, our Families, and our Nation.
Military spouses are often asked to go above and beyond to support their servicemembers' careers. Frequent moves, deployments, training, and travel can pull our Soldiers away from home. As a result, our spouses are strong, resilient, and ready to face challenges to support us all.
And if you're reading this and you HAVE a military spouse -- maybe stop on the way home and grab him or her a treat or some flowers. :)

Our station will have limited hours this week due to training. Please don't hesitate to message us and we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible!

🎂 116 years -- that's something to be proud of!

On April 23, the Army Reserve will celebrate 116 years of service of our Citizen Soldiers who stand ready to answer the call to serve, bringing critical skills and capabilities to the Nation, while defending America’s freedoms and liberties.

The Army Reserve is the dedicated federal reserve of the Army, providing mission-critical forces, skills and capabilities to the Army and the Joint Force in support of U.S. national security interests and Army commitments worldwide.

We bid a fond farewell to CPT Trevor Madsen and welcomed CPT Rachelle Moore during our Milwaukee Recruiting Company change of command ceremony last week. A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of our Milwaukee area recruiters and look forward to future achievements!

Celebrating the Change of Responsibility for the Legends Battalion! We wish Command Sergeant Major Shateria Rahming a fond farewell and welcome Command Sergeant Major Claudia Whitney as she takes the reins as Legends 7.
What a powerful reminder of the strength and perspective our women leaders bring to the fight every day. We could think of no better way to honor Women's History Month than a ceremony that highlights the contribution that women make to our Non-Commissioned Officer Corps and our Battalion.
