Bring the whole family to Meet the Eagles TONIGHT! ✨ Join us at 6 p.m. in the Secondary Library for an autograph signing with your favorite Eagles, then head over to the gym by 7 p.m. as we kick off the night with team introductions, performances by our cheerleaders and the Mighty Eagle Band, followed by the Letter Jacket Ceremony! Fire and Ice Snow Cones will be onsite to help us celebrate our student-athletes. See you there! 🦅

At SJCS, we encourage curiosity and hands-on learning. 🔬 Today, our seventh grade students used microscopes to observe onion cells, grass cells and cheek cells. The students used razors to carefully cut samples to place on glass slides, then used chemical staining to make the cell's organelles stand out. After a glass coverslip was applied, the slide was put underneath the objective of a microscope for observation. By the end of the lab, students were able to differentiate between the different organelles and cell types.

Last week, Keira competed in the National Showcase, the national theatrical figure skating competition, in San Jose, California. Among her events, she earned an impressive 4th place in her comedic impressions routine. Beyond the rink, Keira's trip was filled with incredible experiences, including spotting whales in the Pacific Ocean and exploring the Redwood Forests. We're so proud of Keira for her achievements both on and off the ice!

Thank you to all our families for attending Eagle Fest '24 and making it such a special day! It was wonderful to have our students back on campus, and we're grateful for the strong sense of community we share. Big congrats to our two Juniors, Joaquin O. and Joaquin C., for completing the Youth Adventure Program (YAP) at Texas A&M University! YAP is a series of one-week courses that encourage career exploration. From architecture to veterinary medicine, they delved into exciting fields of interest, guided by A&M professors and professionals. Way to go, Eagles!
