I’ve been getting so many questions and so much intrigue from everybody about this adult Creators and Makers Boot Camp. I can’t thank everybody enough for reaching out, keep the questions coming!! GANGS ALL HERE!! Working with the ARC today!!! We wanted to do classic monsters!!! I demoed watercolor layering with them. Showing them they can use basic color blocking or add layers! I helped them out and pre lined the paintings for them! I always give the artists I support a choice to do everything on their own or get assistance. If they choose assistance we discuss the levels of assistance and then they choose from there. Creating art with artists who have developmental/intellectual disabilities is all about the process! It’s about HOW they feel when creating! So sometimes they ask me to help and I am happily to oblige! The amount of tears and fighting back tears today from parents, kids, family, friends, and yes even me, Ms. Jenn- all because we were so overwhelmed with excitement, happiness, pride, joy, and accomplishment!! CONGRATS to all these young artists on their pop-up shop today!! I am so proud of how hard they all worked and am in awe of how creative, tenacious, and committed they all were through their creation process! I couldn’t have done this without my incredibly hard working teaching assistants Mr. Luis and Ms. Skylar!! They have been such amazing rocks through out this entire Mini Makers series!! THANK YOU to everyone who has supported my vision so far with making this studio something unique and so so special!!! It truly is about support and community and I’m so lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful people!!
