We have been getting a lot of compliments and questions about our awesome popsicle display.

I am lucky enough to have a hyper talented designer for a brother in . When I explained to him the difficulties of displaying a melting product, he pitched this display as a solution.

The part of the design I love the most is likely the part folks are least likely to notice. It is the tapered stand the popsicles stick out of.

A huge inspiration for our popsicles are the Helados de Salcedo from Ecuador, where they highlight the local produce through ice cream popsicles. Ecuador is where my mother is from, so I grew up eating those pops. A lot.

In our homage to Ecuador, the tower stand for the pops is modeled after the monument at La Cuidad Mitad del Mundo (the city at the center of the world). You can find it on the equator line that runs through Ecuador.

It's little details like this that make our display so special.

It was with the help of the that we were able to pay for the filament needed to 3D print the design, making it a reality.

With that, Nick was then able to print the display (all while moving to a new apartment, because he's a rockstar) and ship it to us in time for market.

We are insanely lucky to have such talented people in our corner.

Hemos recibido mucho interés y preguntas sobre nuestra increíble exhibición de paletas heladas.

Tengo la suerte de tener un diseñador muy talentoso como hermano en . Cuando le expliqué las dificultades de exhibir un producto que se derrite, propuso esta exhibición como una solución.

La parte del diseño que más me gusta es probablemente la parte que la gente menos nota. Es el soporte cónico del que sobresalen las paletas.

Una gran inspiración para nuestras paletas son los Helados de Salcedo de Ecuador, donde celebran el producto local a en la forma de sus paletas heladas. Mi madre es de Ecuador, así que crecí comiendo esas paletas. Muchas de estas paletas.

We are not designers, by any means, so when we came to our dear friend, .creative , asking for help with our logo, our hodge-podge of ideas could have been overwhelming. But Sofia came in and found a way to distill our ideas into our beautiful logo.

Then, the talented swept in and fine-tuned it.

El Batey summer camp is back!

Family! To all Puerto Rican parents,The Batey Summer Camp is back thanks to SAY YES!Registration will be open on April 17th and spaces fill up quickly!What can you do?

Follow these steps:
• Visit the SAY YES / Summer Camp page periodically to stay informed about registration opening. Here https://sayyesbuffalo.org/summer/

• Eligibility: SAY YES and El Batey prioritize students from Buffalo Public Schools and low-income families from PreK-6. Charter school students are eligible if they meet the criteria.

• It's important to apply as soon as possible. When applying, choose El Batey as your first option. If our spots are full, choose El Batey as your first or second option. Your child will be placed on a waiting list, as spaces become available when other students withdraw.

• If you belong to a Buffalo public school considered a Community School, get in touch with the SAY YES Navigator at your school. They are an invaluable resource!

How it Works:
1. Fill out the Friday Pickup Order Form
- Click the LinkTree in our Details.
- The minimum order is two popsicles.
- Order forms must be submitted by Thursdays at 8 pm for a pickup that Friday.

2. Get ready for your pickup
- Pickups are on Fridays from 5:30 - 6:30 pm
- The pickup address is 27 Chandler Street, Suite 204A (Bloom & Rose)

3. Pay on pickup
- Popsicles are $4 each, or 4 for $15.
- We accept cash, card, Venmo, and Cash App.

4. Enjoy your popsicles!
