2022 Ladies Championship Final Results

These are from the last tourney, just this past weekend. We weighed in one fish, just under 7lbs. It was a WINDY MFer!!!! Like, I thought we were gonna die for a sec haha! Our captain this time was Jerry Anderson, he was awesome and took us to one of my most favorite spots in the whole world to fish!!!! 😉☀️ We are looking forward to getting ourselves on that podium next tourney! Thank you to Jerry, Ron, Lauren, Alex and crew… just everyone who helps makes these tournaments happen. We LOVE competing, and we couldn’t do it without you!

Southern Flounder...Did you know❓

🐟 Their range begins in northern Mexico and extends all the way to through the Albemarle Sound in North Carolina, with a slight absence of presence around the tip of Florida.

🐟 They will undergo a metamorphic process in which the skull bones bend and shift positions as the right eye migrates to the left side of the head.

🐟 Once the right eye is in its final resting position, the fish settles onto the right side of its body and becomes a true flatfish for the remainder of its life.

🐟 Thus far in 2022, hatchery staff at the CCA Marine Development Center (MDC) in Corpus Christi and Sea Center Texas - Texas Parks and Wildlife (SCT) in Lake Jackson have released 44,457 flounder into Galveston Bay and 23,989 flounder into Aransas Bay.

First tournament of the year for our team! 🎣

Only 10 Days until the first event! The PRL Ladies Division is coming to Aransas Pass, TX on Sunday, May 1, 2022! Any ladies are welcome to fish this event! The entry fee is $500 with a $100 yearly membership fee per angler (if guided the guide does not need a membership). In 2022, wade-fishing is NOT allowed, and there will NOT be a bait division. The Capitan’s Meeting will be held Saturday, April 30 at 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Redfish Bay Boat House; registration is open on our website! We look forward to seeing all of our ladies there.
