The first thing to do when purchasing a home is to get pre-approved!
Credit scores range from 300-850. Borrowers can qualify for a mortgage loan depending on their depending on their range. You don’t need a perfect score to get a loan. However you will have to meet certain requirements depending on your score.
In order to get the best interest rates, buyers should aim for a 760 or higher.
However, just because you have a low credit score does not mean you will not qualify for a loan. Different requirements are made depending on your score and who insures the loan.
