Fitness is an INFINITE game. The goal is not to just GET in shape, but to STAY in shape. Here is what I have learned about how we can all WIN BIG.
๐ชโค๏ธ What about Cardio? Let's talk about it! โค๏ธ๐ช
Ever wondered "how much" cardio is enough to add to your training? Or perhaps, what pace you should be maintaining for a heart-healthy workout? Well, we've got you covered!
Cardio is crucial for our heart health. It improves blood circulation, reduces blood pressure, and aids in weight control. But the key is to do it right (and of course back it up with a heart healthy way of eating!)
Here's my simple guideline: Your cardio should be challenging but not exhausting. Aim for a pace where you can still carry on a conversation without feeling short of breath. This ensures you're working your heart without overdoing it.
Adding 20-30 minutes of cardio work like this for 2-3 sessions per week in addition to your resistance training can keep you feeling more energized and heart centered!
Remember, with this method, you don't need any advanced monitoring to keep track. Just listen to your body! If you can chat while you're challenging yourself, you're in the right zone.
So next time you lace up your boots or hop on that bike, remember this tip. Keep it challenging, keep it conversational, and most importantly, keep it consistent!

BEETS & PEACHES SALAD
๐๐ฅ This salad recipe sounds a little strange but itโs surprisingly good.
Itโs easy & simple enough for weekday meals and lunches โฆ but delicious enough for entertaining.
BEET & PEACH SALAD
(makes 6 servings)
10 oz. (280 g) spring mix salad greens
3 medium ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
ยฝ cup (120 ml) balsamic vinaigrette
14.5 oz (410 g) can sliced beets, drained
ยฝ cup (56 g) crumbled goat cheese
ยฝ cup (60 g) raw chopped pecans
In a serving dish, toss the greens and peaches with the balsamic vinaigrette. Top with the beets, cheese, and pecans. Serve immediately.

1๏ธโฃ ๐The first graph shows what our levels looked like after eating "kinda healthy" foods without exercising. As you can see, our blood sugar levels were consistently elevated. This causes insulin to rise in response, which can actually stall out fat burning and when out of control, can lead to weight gain.
2๏ธโฃ ๐Now, take a look at the second graph which shows our levels after incorporating high thermic/low glycemic foods into our diet and adding a quick weight training session to our day.
โ ๏ธ The difference is clear! Our blood sugar levels remained stable throughout the day, and this led to lower insulin levels, stable energy and more efficient fat burning.
Don't let elevated blood sugar levels stall your progress any longer. Make sure to incorporate intentional eating habits, and exercise into your routine for optimal results!
It makes a bigger difference than what most people end up focusing on in an attempt to desperately change their body!
