We’ve had some questions today about tickets at the door- we are at capacity and are officially sold out. Unfortunately, we cannot go over capacity for safety reasons and for the comfort of our guests. We don’t want to turn people away, so please don’t show up if you don’t already have a ticket. So sorry!

Exciting news!!
The Hampton in Burley has offered us a discounted group rate for those who want to make a night of BMP ‘23! The Boys and Girls of the Magic Valley (Rupert) has offered to lend us their shuttle vans for the evening! We will have a pickup time, and a drop off time from the hotel to the venue. If you’re interested in this deal please call Hampton directly at 208-878-7040.

Introducing our 2023 Burley Mom Prom Host!

I’m Dina Erling or Dina Diamond for those of you that might listen to local radio. I grew up in the Mini-Cassia area attending our local schools and graduated from Burley High School (go Bobcats!) After years of hopping from job to job looking for the right fit, I fell into radio while playing around with the local DJs in their on-air contests. While being a radio groupie was fun, I found being the voice behind the mic to be a comfortable transition when offered a part time position co-hosting the morning show on Kat Kountry 106 in 1999. Since then, I’ve been working the airwaves across South Central Idaho and for a short time remotely in Eastern Idaho. Nowadays I spend more time working with area businesses as their Radio Advertising Representative for Lee Family Broadcasting but I still get to spend a little time on the air afternoons on Kat Kountry 106.1 FM and Balanced Rock, Southern Idaho’s Classic Rock Alternative 97.5 & 100.5 FM. I’m ridiculously, happily married to Ty Erling. We raised two beautiful daughters who are now raising our ever so perfect grandsons in the Treasure Valley. For fun we like to travel to see the grandkids, drag our travel trailer and “camp out” as many weekends as we can, play golf and spend time laughing as much as possible with our friends and family.

Meet our ‘23 beneficiary! We can’t say enough good things about the Boys and Girls Club in Rupert. Jessie Williams, the director, was so grateful to be a beneficiary this year and has even volunteered to be on our committee! Here is a word from her:

“The Boys and Girls of Magic Valley’s mission statement is "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens."  We are currently serving about 160 kids a day!  In 2022 we served 434 kids and had waitlists at 3 of our 4 sites.  Providing a safe environment and healthy environment for these kids is one of our greatest honors and our way of helping serve our community.”

The funds raised will be used specifically for the Rupert location. They have some big things going on! A new building has been purchased but needs a complete remodel to better suite their needs. They have also used funds to award “scholarships” to families who may need assistance paying for the summer program.

We are so happy to assist in benefitting the youth right here in our community!

A little about our beneficiary for Blue Jean Ball: Teen hope! Teen Hope teaches life skills through positive interaction and helping teens find a place.

Our focus is:
Mental health
Connection
Volunteerism
Prevention

We do activities such as:
Tutoring
Cooking
Games
Art therapy
And much more!

Proceeds from the Blue Jean ball will be used to help stock the pantry and feed teens in our community. Come on out and have a great time for a great cause!
