🧀🍄 Garlic Mushroom Grilled Cheese 🍄🧀

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese with savory garlic mushrooms!

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 slices bread
4 slices cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
Additional butter, for grilling
Instructions:

Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms:

In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender and golden brown.
Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
Prep Bread and Cheese:

Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a separate skillet or griddle.
Assemble Sandwiches:

Top each slice with a piece of cheese.
Evenly divide the cooked mushrooms between the two slices.
Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side up.
Grill Sandwiches:

Cook the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side over medium heat.
Ensure the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve:

Remove sandwiches from the skillet and let cool for a minute.
Slice and serve hot. Enjoy!
