City of Caldwell water customers received a credit of $69 on their December 1 water bill. The one-time credit was made possible during the 2024 budget process when Mayor Wagoner and City Council approved a one-time rebate. The rebate came from a surplus of fund balance in the sanitation fund.
“Providing this credit to customers was a pleasure for the City Council and myself. We know this time of year can be financially difficult so we think using this surplus to give back comes at a good time and that this small credit can make a difference,” said Jarom Wagoner, Mayor of Caldwell.
If you need assistance paying your water bill, the City's Caldwell Cares program provides water bill payment assistance to customers in need. Caldwell Cares is funded through the generous donations of Caldwell residents. We also partner with The Salvation Army to assist residents with water bills. For more information on how to get assistance or how to donate click here: https://www.cityofcaldwell.org/live/caldwell-cares
Tonight, your city council will vote on returning $1,498,404.00 back to the tax payer. If approved, it will be distributed through a Sanitation Fund rebate. More to follow after the meeting…

City of Caldwell
Caldwell is revising its Comprehensive Plan to plan for changes and growth in the City over the next 20 years. Over the next 16 months, the City invites the public to provide feedback and ideas to guide this new Comprehensive Plan.
Kicking off this engagement process in November, the City invites the community to participate in one-on-one or small-group conversations and online engagement with the planning team. Participants will discuss and provide feedback about the issues and opportunities facing the City, as well as start to identify shared values and priorities for the future. This is also an opportunity for the public to express where the project team should be engaging the public, how this engagement should be used, and on which topics they need to glean information.
The one-on-one or small group listening sessions will be held virtually or via phone for convenience. Participants may sign up for a time through the project website or directly through this link: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/eEPWpWkd.
