Let's face it, mga Koya.

"I'm not financial literate. But I'm trying.
- Story time ☕
"Not to brag but to share a lesson.
Year 2022 I used to earned 125,000 pesos a month. No joke.
That was the first time that I earned that much.
Permanent work from home pa, so what to expect. 😌
"Gastos dito, gastos don.
Bigay dito, bigay don.
Until I lost it.
I lost everything, in a snap. In a one single snap.
"Napaka generous ko kasing tao noon pa man. (I claimed it)
I don't want to mentioned it all, cus I don't want to offend anyone. Sa totoo lang, I don't find it a problem. God blessed my pocket so why not be a blessing to others. But since I'm doing it all wrong, naging problema na sya. I wasn't able to check and balance my finances.
And worst, kailangan ko mangutang.
"Na enjoy ko ung pera ko. Yes!
Pero nag suffer din ako nung nawala.
I was sooooo depressed. Not because I don't have 125,000 pesos monthly income. But because I can't even afford a simple living.
"Ang pinakamasakit pa sa lahat, I lost my soul sister because I wasn't able to pay my 15,000 debt on time. She totally cut everything between us. We've been together for more then half of our life. I'm even her maid of honor, halos parang kambal na kami. Pero dahil sa 15,000 at nasirang tiwala, I lost the person I loved - I lost a best friend, I lost kamaganak.
"Fast forward ⏩
"After I cried a million times.
Endless prayers and hard work. And everything in between.
I bounced back.
"Am I earning 125,000 pesos again? No.
But enough to save. Enough to live. Enough not to have utang. Enough to enjoy life. Enough not to have stress. Enough to sleep better at night. Enough not to worry for tomorrow. Enough to share.
"And that is more than enough. 😌
"Bakit ko to pinost?
It's hard to break a habit. Parang mas gusto ko nlang mag dagdag ng source of income just to maintain the lifestyle that I want. But of course it would cost a price.
"Fyi. Hindi po ako galing sa mayamang pamilya. But my parents always, ALWAYS SECURE OUR FOOD.
"✨ What's the moral of the story.
1. Save. Always save - Changes is inevitable. So we must be ready at all times.
2. Life is not always about today, you must think about tomorrow too.
3. Money is meant to be spent. But wisely.
4. Differentiate Needs vs. Wants - Distinguish between essential expenses (needs) and discretionary spending (wants). Prioritize needs first.
5. Make saving as self reward. - it's not always going out, spending to food, coffee, traveling or, buying new stuffs.
6. HINDI KA GUTOM - GUSTO MO LANG GUMASTOS - When you have extras you always have the idea of spending it.
7. Pay your debt at all cost - if you can't pay it on time at least inform the person involved.
8. Being generous is okay. But giving your hard earned money easily is not.
9. There's so many ways to share your blessing or help other people. It's not always giving or money is involved.
10. Pray and seek financial support - in this way you can handle all your blessings in the proper way.
Remember, financial literacy is a journey. Start with small steps, and over time, you'll become more confident in managing your money wisely.
PS: Hindi rin ako financial literate. I'm just sharing my story hoping to touch someone's soul. Praying for us." Allyssa shared on Facebook.

So inassume namin na Buy 1 Take 1 siya.
(Facebook/Rhadson Mendoza)
