Just purchased a Santa Claus suit for a client. Includes plush velvet, fur trimmed jacket, pants and all the accessories like the wig, beard, glasses and naugahyde belt. In my 6 years of personal shopping, a Santa suit has got to be the most peculiar and hilarious request. Heck, whatever I can do to assist my clients with all their wardrobe needs, I'll do it!

Fashion rules are meant to be broken. Today, I broke 2... wore white jeans before Memorial Day and Converse men's kicks in size 6 fits my size 8 feet perfectly! What style rules are you breaking today?

Fun w/ client A earlier this week. We made a wrap-around bracelet double as a belt. Gives this feminine outfit a little unexpected edge. Good thing A is teeny tiny that a bracelet can go around her waist!

Here's what I offer S&G clients when they let me mix and match outfits. All three ties go beautifully w/ this shirt+suit combo. Client Y can refer to this collage when picking out what to wear for the day. Sure makes for easy breezy mornings!

About to spend the next 3hrs playing in my new fave client's wardrobe. He's got more ties, shirts and sport coats than I can count. Mixing and matching to crete elegant yet fun outfits is going to be a blast!

And now to follow up a highly awesome and important post like the Metro article with something completely brainless: I know I'm supposed to be some kind of fashion expert but there's one thing that I've never quite understood... the closed toe slingback. It's a contradiction and oxymoron that confuses me to no end. If it's a pump, be a pump. If it's a slingback, make it peeptoe b/c slingbacks are meant for warm weather anyhow. Logging this in my mental folder of stuff I'd change about the world if I was a fashion god.

Had a ROTFL moment with a client yesterday. In the past, a client and I have vetoed pants because they were too loose, too snug, too short, too wide. Never have we disliked a pair because they were... as CE put it, "too WIGGLY." Love her!!

S&G office (our basement) is nearly complete. Wallpaper is up, now we just have to install the shelving and desk.

Wow, getting interviewed on TV is trickier than I imagined it to be. So many things I wish I said or could have said better but when you're in the moment and put on the spot, whatever comes out, comes out! Here's me moments before my 10 min interview w/ Mary Sit on Asian Focus which will air in early November.
