We bought City Girl Café in 2008 a few months before the greatest financial crisis of our lifetime. We lost all our corporate catering and watched our customers lose their jobs. It was hard, we had to be scrappy but we somehow made it through. Now 12 years later, we are faced with a scenario that we just can’t overcome. After removing tables and taking extra precautions this past week, we have ultimately decided that we can no longer promote social gatherings in our space.
Tomorrow will be our last brunch service and dinners are indefinitely cancelled. We will be doing takeout next week as long as there is interest. We’ll post the menus and hours on our website and email lists.
This is a very sad time for us, as we hoped we’d be seeing all you wonderful friends for a few more months before the close of our lease. Thank you for all your support and love. And thank you to our wonderful employees who will be looking for work when restaurants get up and running again. Be safe out there!
