Hall of Fame Spotlight
Daryl Hodge
HOF Class of 2023

The NEFL Hall of Fame welcomes one of the league's all-time greats in Daryl Hodge. Daryl spent his entire career (2005-2021) with the Boston Bandits, making his mark immediately as the Offensive Rookie of the Year. He would go on to be one of the most decorated players in the 30-year history of the NEFL.
The individual accolades and awards would pile up, but his willingness and ability to make plays from wherever the team needed is what made him a 4-time Champion. To be an MVP among other star players is a special feat, as it was when Daryl was the Most Valuable Player in the 2007 All-Star Game. To be the Defensive Player of the Year, as he was in 2011 is a unique honor, few are able to achieve. To follow it by being the Offensive Player of the Year in 2012 seems incredible. To follow that by repeating as Offensive Player of the Year for 2013 is legendary - yet Hodge always credited his teammates and coaches along the way. Many of them will be there Saturday to see him enter the Hall of Fame.

First and foremost, we are excited to announce that we will be concluding the 2023 spring season with an exciting end of year tournament for all participants. We want to end the season on a high note and provide a memorable experience for everyone involved. However, due to fluctuating attendance in the past weeks, We have decided not to schedule any games on Father's Day, June 18th,2023. We understand that many parents have expressed a desire to spend the day together, and we don't want to interfere with those plans.

Instead, we have decided to allocate the funds that would have been used for referees on June 18th,2023 towards the end of year event, which will now take place on Sunday, June 25th,2023. This way, we can provide even more exciting activities, including free food, entertainment, and a tournament that promises to be a thrilling experience for all participants.

We kindly request your cooperation in providing us with confirmation of who will be attending the event on June 25th,2023 as we need to plan accordingly.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be resuming our football action at 1:30 pm for warmups, skills, and drills for everyone. Please note that this is optional, and the games will begin at 2 pm for 6u (5 & 6 year olds) and 8u (7 and 8 year olds). The games for 10u (9 & 10 year olds) and 13u (11,12&13 year olds) will begin at 3 pm.

We know that the weather conditions have been challenging, and we missed a couple of weeks. But we are glad to be back, and we are committed to providing a safe and fun environment for all our young athletes. We understand that some families still need to check-in and register. So, we encourage you to arrive early if you still need to be placed on a team or receive your uniform.

Also, we are happy to inform you that the Lil Ballerz program will be at 2 pm on the practice field. It's an excellent opportunity for our youngest players to develop their football skills and have fun while doing it.
