In less than a decade under the leadership of Nikishka Iyengar (’25), has gone from operating co-living and community wealth building programs to becoming a real estate and community development company.
During her upcoming Loeb year, Nikishka plans to focus on bridging the gaps between community development and community organizing, rooting social entrepreneurship and economic development deep within social movements, and scaling community ownership of land, housing and real estate as a climate justice and resilience strategy.
As a worker-owned cooperative, The Guild’s leadership empowerment activities ensure that the remaining team is well equipped to carry on the organization’s important work.
