There is a new fox in town! I plan to add a background color and some botanical work to this piece…stay tuned! Made the tail extra floofy too 🦊

A very special commission got delivered just in time for Christmas! My dad asked me to paint their German Shepherd for my mom and she LOVED it ❤️

Unfortunately, we were unable to travel this Christmas to see family, so here is an attempted screenshot of my mom opening it while we FaceTimed. Lots of movement 😂

Merry Christmas Eve!🎄

What a year it’s been! Although I could write much more, here are some things that I am showing gratitude for as I reflect:

-Community. Nurturing existing and new friendships. I feel like I’ve found my people in this beautiful art world. There is so much positivity and love here!

-Practicing patience. This is tough for me in all aspects of life. I’ve started tackling larger pieces which takes weeks/months to finish. Art is truly a labor of love.

-Challenging yourself. It’s true...if you’re not being challenged, you aren’t changing. I’ve added animal and floral work to my portfolio and I’m so glad I did!

-Collaborating. One of my favorite things to create is painting my work on earrings (I kept these pair for myself 😘) and I’m so thankful Broken Ankles and I started working together one year ago to make that happen!

-Support. Absolutely none of my growth this year could have been done without the support of others. Words of encouragement, conversations, sales, commissions, events…these are just a few ways I’ve been supported this year. What a blessing.

That said, thank you for following along on my art journey! I wish you a wonderful holiday season, and a happy & healthy new year! 🤍

Big ol’ Clyde is DONE! Well, the painting part anyway. I’ll varnish and frame in the next week or so. Clyde and I had our moments, but we made it through 😆. This one is hard to photograph due the size (some corners got cut off in the pic) so I’ll share again once he’s framed! Y’all…the moose I was working yesterday at Menagerie on Main SOLD during the event! When I reached a stopping point on this piece I thought I’d come back to it, but it turns out someone loved it as it was 🥰

I had a lot of fun yesterday- great conversations with art friends and met some new people in the community. This piece has taught me to trust the process and good things will come…😌
