Deuteronomy 12 “These are the statutes and rules that you shall be careful to do in the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. 2 You shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3 You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim with fire. You shall chop down the carved images of their gods and destroy their name out of that place. 4 You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way. 5 But you shall seek the place that the Lord your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation[a] there. There you shall go, 6 and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock. 7 And there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.

"The Parables of the Kingdom"

Good morning, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, we delve into the profound teachings of Jesus found in Matthew 13, a chapter rich with parables that unravel the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven.

I. The Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23):
In the opening of this chapter, we encounter the well-known Parable of the Sower. Jesus used this agricultural metaphor to illustrate how the Word of God is received by different hearts. The seed is the message of the Kingdom, and the soil represents the condition of our hearts. Some hearts are receptive and fertile, while others are hardened or distracted. As we reflect on this parable, let us ask ourselves: What kind of soil are we?

II. The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43):
In the second parable, Jesus speaks of the wheat and the tares, emphasizing the coexistence of good and evil until the final judgment. This parable challenges us to be patient and discerning in a world where both righteousness and sin seem to grow together. It encourages us to trust in God's perfect timing for separating the wheat from the tares.

III. The Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Leaven (Matthew 13:31-33):
Jesus uses the imagery of the mustard seed and leaven to convey the exponential growth of the Kingdom of Heaven. Despite its seemingly insignificant beginnings, the mustard seed grows into a large tree, and the leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. These parables remind us of the transformative power of God's Kingdom and the impact it can have on individuals and societies.

IV. The Parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price (Matthew 13:44-46):
In these brief but powerful parables, Jesus illustrates the surpassing value of the Kingdom of Heaven. The man who found the hidden treasure and the merchant who discovered the pearl of great price was willing to sacrifice everything to obtain these treasures. It challenges us to prioritize the Kingdom of God above all else, recognizing its incomparable worth.

V. The Parable of the Dragnet (Matthew 13:47-50):
The final parable in Matthew 13 speaks of a dragnet gathering fish of every kind. This parable represents the final judgment when the angels will separate the righteous from the wicked. It serves as a solemn reminder of the importance of living in accordance with God's will and being prepared for the day of reckoning.

Conclusion:
As we reflect on these parables from Matthew 13, let us examine our hearts, cultivate a fertile soil for God's Word, patiently endure in the face of challenges, embrace the transformative power of the Kingdom, and recognize the incomparable worth of living for Christ. May we be like the wise scribe in Matthew 13:52, bringing out treasures both old and new from the storehouse of God's Word, and may our lives bear witness to the profound truths of the Kingdom of Heaven.

May God bless you all. may he keep you in his mercy. Amen.

Thought for the day: bless GOD, we're not bound to what's common to man. We're free to use what's common to GOD! We fight our warfare with uncommon weapons. What does that mean? It means you ought to have the devil wrapped up and sewed up. You ought to put him in a sack with a ribbon on top. Devil, I have put you under my feet & worship JESUS!

Unveiling the Keys to the Kingdom in the Bible

In the Holy Scriptures, the term "Keys to the Kingdom" holds profound significance and symbolism. Throughout the Bible, it is referenced in various contexts, representing authority, spiritual understanding, and access to divine blessings. Let us explore some key passages that shed light on this powerful concept.

Matthew 16:19 - "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven..."
In this pivotal verse, Jesus speaks to Simon Peter, stating that He will give him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. This declaration signifies the authority given to Peter and, by extension, to those who follow Jesus' teachings and have faith in Him. The keys imply the power to bind and loose, to make authoritative decisions, and to open the gates of heaven for believers.

Isaiah 22:22 - "I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open."
This Old Testament passage refers to Eliakim, who is appointed as the chief steward in place of Shebna. The imagery of the key symbolizes significant responsibility and trust, enabling Eliakim to act on behalf of the king with full authority. Similarly, in the New Testament, Jesus holds the ultimate authority over the Kingdom of God.

Revelation 3:7 - "These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens, no one can shut, and what he shuts, no one can open."
In this verse, Jesus is referred to as the one who holds the key of David. This is an affirmation of His sovereignty and absolute power over the Kingdom. It emphasizes that Jesus' decisions are final and unchangeable, signifying the unyielding nature of His divine plan and providence.

Matthew 18:18 - "Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Here, Jesus reiterates the concept of the keys to the Kingdom, emphasizing that His followers have been granted the authority to act in accordance with God's will on Earth. This verse emphasizes the importance of prayer, discernment, and righteous living as we exercise this divine authority.

Luke 11:52 - "Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering."
This verse highlights the importance of understanding and embracing spiritual truths. The "key of knowledge" refers to the wisdom and understanding of God's Word, which is essential for entering the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a cautionary reminder for religious leaders and believers alike not to impede others' spiritual growth and journey to God.

In summary, the concept of the "Keys to the Kingdom" in the Bible symbolizes divine authority, spiritual understanding, and access to God's blessings. It represents the responsibility entrusted to believers to carry out God's will on Earth, while also recognizing the sovereignty and unchangeable nature of God's plan. By seeking knowledge, wisdom, and righteous living, we can better understand and utilize these keys to unlock the fullness of God's Kingdom in our lives.

Greetings, brothers, and sisters in Christ, Today, we reflect upon a verse from the First Epistle to the Corinthians, Chapter 4, Verse 5. The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote these powerful words that still hold tremendous relevance in our lives today. Let us delve into the message behind this verse and uncover its historical context to better understand the wisdom it imparts.
In this verse, Paul instructs us, "Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God."At first glance, it might seem like a simple instruction to refrain from passing judgment. However, it carries a profound message about patience, humility, and the ultimate accountability before God. In the context of the early Christian church in Corinth, the people were grappling with divisions and conflicts, with some taking pride in following certain leaders over others. Paul cautioned them against premature judgments and reminded them that the final judgment rests with the Lord.

The historical context of this verse also extends back to the teachings of Jesus himself. In Matthew 7:1-2, Jesus said, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." The concept of reserving judgment until the appointed time is deeply rooted in Jesus' teachings. Throughout history, we have witnessed moments when people have misinterpreted and misapplied this verse, leading to great injustices and even violence. During the Inquisition, for instance, individuals were accused and condemned based on mere suspicion, leading to countless innocent lives being lost. This reminds us of the importance of understanding and applying biblical teachings with discernment and wisdom. The message of 1 Corinthians 4:5 also holds significance during times of societal upheaval and moral challenges. In the face of human frailty and fallibility, we must remember that it is Almighty God who will ultimately bring to light all hidden things of darkness. While we may be blinded by appearances or false pretenses, God sees the intentions and secrets of our hearts.
As followers of Christ, we are called to cultivate a spirit of humility, understanding that we are not the ultimate judges of others' actions or motivations. We are reminded that each one of us will stand before God's judgment seat, and it is His judgment that truly matters. Therefore, rather than hastily condemning others, let us strive to show compassion, mercy, and grace. But this verse also brings us hope and encouragement. Paul speaks of the day when the Lord will come, and all things hidden will be brought to light. This is a reminder that the truth will ultimately prevail, and justice will be served. Those who have remained faithful and steadfast in their devotion to God will receive their due praise from Him. So, my dear brothers and sisters, let us take to heart the wisdom of 1 Corinthians 4:5. Let us be patient in our judgments, leaving the final verdict to the Almighty God. May we seek to manifest His love and compassion in our interactions with others, knowing that the day of ultimate reckoning will come when every man shall have praise from God. May we remain faithful, trusting in His unfailing wisdom and grace. May the words of Paul echo in our hearts, guiding our thoughts, actions, and interactions with others. Let us pray for the strength to live according to this wisdom, as we eagerly await the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen.

At times a crucial distinction...

Daniel 11:32
The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
Have you ever wondered what gives a person the strength to become a champion, such as Daniel or David in the Scriptures? The book of Daniel tells us that “the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits” (Dan. 11:32).
Daniel himself started out as a young captive taken from Jerusalem to serve in the courts of Babylonian and Medo-Persian kings. Yet Daniel stood out among his peers.
Over his lifetime he interpreted dreams by the wisdom of God and demonstrated an “excellent spirit” people around him could see (Dan. 6:3). He always found favor in the eyes of the Gentile kings he served and experienced supernatural deliverance when there seemed to be no way out. Daniel walked out of the lions’ den unharmed because he knew his God, His power, and His heart for him.
Dear friends,
Is this what you desire today? To walk in strength, wisdom, and favor that is undeniable and irresistible? Do you want to see God's kind of miracles and breakthroughs in your life?
Then I encourage you to keep hearing and growing in your knowledge of God’s grace and mercy toward you. In Daniel’s story, the Lord, through an angel, addressed him as a “man greatly beloved” (Dan. 10:11). So the more you hear about and are confident in His love for you, the more you will live life with boldness and a different, excellent spirit that sets you apart from others and testifies of His power in your life.
Consider also young David, the shepherd boy who was bold enough to challenge and take down Goliath when others were cowering in fear. David knew God as a covenant-keeping God who loved him. David would have been reminded of God’s love for him every time he heard his own name called, for David’s name means “beloved,” the beloved of the Lord.
I believe David became such an amazing worshipper, a leader beloved by His people, and a man after God’s own heart because he knew and was conscious of how much the Lord loved him. Even when David failed, I believe his revelation that he was still beloved of the Lord kept him going.
Beloved, I pray that as you continue to read the word of His mercy and listen to messages of His glorious grace, you will honestly know the Lord’s love for you and embrace it heart and soul. His love will make you strong and cause you to do great exploits.
When you know how much God loves you, you will bring down the giants in your life, and your life will testify of His goodness and glory!

FOR THOSE IN WARFARE REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE THIS ON AND ALL YOU NEED IS TO STAND IN THE ENEMY'S FACE AND USE THE WORD. GOD ALMIGHTY WILL SHOW YOU HIS ETERNAL SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. HE WILL SEND HIS ANGELS TO PROTECT AND GUIDE YOUR PATH TO DELIVER YOU FROM evil INTO THE GOOD. PRAISE HIM FOR HIS GLORY AND HIS MERCY! AMEN

04/20/2023

Did you know that angels are surrounding us and protecting us today because God has given them charge over us to protect us! When we choose to make Him our habitation, He charges His angels to watch over us and surround us with His divine protection.
Did you know that Psalm 91:11–12 was quoted by the devil when he tried to tempt our Lord Jesus? He brought our Lord to the pinnacle of the temple and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands, they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” To this Jesus replied, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God’” (Matt. 4:5–7).

The temptation of our Lord Jesus in the wilderness is the only instance in the Bible where the devil is recorded quoting Scripture. But the devil deliberately misquoted verse 11. The devil misquotes the Bible because he is the father of lies. Verse 11 actually reads: “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”
I asked the Lord why the devil left out the words “to keep you in all your ways” and He directed me to Proverbs 3:6–7, which says: “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil.”
You see, the devil didn’t want to say the words “to keep you in all your ways” because that would be tantamount to reminding believers of Proverbs 3:6–7 to acknowledge God in all our ways. So he conveniently left out that whole portion.
But praise the Lord, we know that this is what the Lord has promised: “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways”. Our part is to simply acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He shall direct our paths, protecting us along the way!
