Well R***r saved me a hospital trip maybe even my life. He has never bitten me beside playing but today while walking the lake as we always do he became pretty aggressive nipping at me then wrapped my leg and his dew claws really dig in I turned to scold him and he ran around me like trying to avoid me.
I turned to grab him and found him confronting a copperhead backed against a log, fighting to protect me until I fetched a stick to assist. Tears nearly filled my eyes as I realized he risked his life to save me. I sat down with him, embracing him tightly. Without a doubt, he's my guardian. The title of the best dog ever unquestionably belongs to him. Rather have this cut that the bite from that copperhead any day.

Salina, N.Y. — A driver who struck and killed a tow truck driver pulled over on the Onondaga Lake Parkway will get no jail time.

Richard Congel, 77, of Clay, pleaded guilty to violating the state’s move over law, a traffic violation. He was sentenced Wednesday to a one year conditional discharge with a $150 fine in Salina town court. The conditional discharge means Congel’s violation will be dismissed as long as he stays out of trouble for one year.

Another tow truck driver hit while working on the side of the road.

A Midland Towing & Recovery driver was hit by a drunk driver as he was assisting a vehicle on Christmas eve and was pinned against his rollback, he's had a couple of surgeries done to him but he is in for a long recovery. If we could have everybody that has the time to show support to light up there trucks and post it in the comment section, video or picture to show support for our fellow brother! It would mean everything to him!💚💛⛓️ Thank you! *All trucks are welcome*

Christmas Pete’s schedule for this weekend is the Ball Ground Parade tonight. Tomorrow he will be at the Woodstock Parade. Then on Sunday he will be at The Governors Gun Club in Kennesaw at 11:30am for an event. He will then travel back toward home to be with Santa at BridgeMill from 5-7. After that we will post where he is heading so everyone can come out and visit!

Christmas Pete will be at Manor Lake at Bridgemill tonight from 6-7 tonight. Then he will be headed to the Belk parking lot on Riverstone until about 9.

Christmas Pete will be at Cabela’s on Highway 92 tonight at 6pm. We will stay for about an hour & a half. He will then be moving to the Kroger at 6766 Hickory Flat Highway.
