Brace yourself Florida, arctic air is on the way and will bring us our coldest Christmas since at least 1989. Wind chills as low as the single digits in the Panhandle along with 20s and 30s in Southwest Florida for the holiday weekend. Falling iguanas too!

Here’s Deputy Jim Vanpelt with two massive Galapagos Tortoises on Fort Myers Beach. They were rescued by Lee County Domestic Animal Services.

Just sharing a bit more good news... The Waterfront Restaurant and Marina at St. James City in Pine Island is safe... 🥰 Prayers go out to them, the community and their families during this time and in their cleanup efforts.

Thanks to all who are reaching out!! Again, sorry I'm not responding quickly. Decided to get Kayden down to my friends in the Keys for now. He is safe. Cape Kos sustained some damage (roof, pool cage, boat lift) but is in great shape compared to many around us. Most people need gas for their generators (5 hr wait for gas & some have said it's out by the time they get to the front of the line) and more water right now, ... it's hard to navigate very far in the area, so please keep praying for them. Cell phone service is sketchy people are worried about family members they can't keep in touch with and now flooding is blocking I-75 coming down to this area. 🙏🙏
