Jennifer Morgan is an amazing advocate for Special Education. As a parent of 2 students in the San Juan District to her countless hours of volunteer work in District appointed committees. She takes the cake for the true meaning of Inclusion in the district. She has stood in front of the board countless times to speak truth about them dropping the ball on education but specifically Special Ed! Please take a few mins to look at her webpage. ✨✨✨🌻If you have been to Tangle Free Before you know that we have this really cool Sensory swings with a few different attachments! We are looking to find it a new home!!! It has been great to us and we love the idea of using different techniques to regulate our nervous system before or after a haircut! There is nothing wrong with any part of the swing, just normal wear. We are looking to rehome the swing part itself for 100$ and each attachment for 25$.
We would love to offer this to our Tangle Free Family first before posting on multiple different sites. Please let us know if you are interested 😄😊

We need some kids for a photo shoot at an all inclusive park in Fulton El Camino Park and Rec District. Ground breaking was last September . It’s the first park of its kind in the area. We need kids of all abilities. Their picture would be featured in a Carmichael Arden newspaper. Wednesday 8/7 at 9:00. Be a quick event.

Hello Tangle Free friends and family! Facebook is going through some changes with their appointment booking system. We are in the process of figuring out how to manage it. We are switching to square booking so you may get double confirmation messages until we get it sorted out. Also a reminder that Lacey is going to be on maternity leave soon. Crissy will be available. However, when Lacey goes into labor we will be having to reschedule those appointments because we will both be at the hospital. Join us for a special Sensory Swim Time at Rusch Park Pool this Saturday, June 29th!

🤗 This event is designed for children with ASD and other special needs. Families and siblings are welcome!

🛟 Important: All children must be accompanied by a parent in the water.

🕥 When: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
💵 Cost: $5 per person (ages 3 and up)

As I go through this third pregnancy the words “Take care of yourself” have really hit home and helped me understand the importance of vocalizing when you are struggling. 29 weeks, thank you for all the kind messages and support I have been getting on my new baby girl! She is growing perfectly! My last day before Maternity Leave is AUGUST 11th! We are pre-booking for back to school so please let us know if you need to schedule a haircut for school! I am scheduled to be out for 6 weeks! The Runway of Dreams Foundation (RODF) is now casting for its 10th Anniversary “Fashion Revolution” New York Fashion Week show on 9/9/24 in NYC. Runway of Dreams is a nonprofit organization that ​​celebrates the inclusion and acceptance of People with Disabilities in the fashion and beauty industries, and highlights the many brands making Adaptive and Universally Designed apparel, clothing, and shoes a priority.

NOW CASTING: We're searching for models with any disability to showcase the power of inclusive fashion at our 2024 “Fashion Revolution” show on September 9th, 2024. If you're passionate about breaking barriers in the fashion industry and representing diversity, we want to hear from you!

✨✨We are activating a call for action for all special eduction advocates to join us on May 14 to speak up for our kids in the San Juan Unified School District at the May 14 Board Meeting! This is a critical time and we need as many people as possible to join us and share their stories about the struggles experienced in Special Education! The San Juan Unified CAC will also be providing a report to the board on the work we have been doing! Please share and SHOW UP for our kids! I am making this post public!
