Established in 1847, we’ve been around quite awhile. Customers often ask how we find time to still do shoe repair, and Rick explains that it is a duty. Late one night during the Civil War, his great-great grandmother polished the boots of Yankee officers in front of the the family shoe repair shop in Cu***ng, Goergia as the town around her burned. Under bayonet point, she begged and prayed that our family business be spared. And it was. So, if you ride by at 2:00 am and see our lights still burning, we’re doing shoe repair, and now you know why.

Each generation of our family begins work in the repair shop on our Tenth birthday, and if God favors our health, we retire at the age of 75. (Just when we’re starting to learn something!). We cut no corners, use the very best materials available, and make every attempt to finish our work with a presentation-grade appearance. Prices are fair for work received.

On the front, we offer a wholesome, multi-thousand-foot show room with nice decor, family atmosphere, clean restrooms, and personalized, friendly service. Our gun department is replete with a nice selection of fi****ms, varying in type from “classic” to “tactical.” On a given day, you can look at a mint Argentine Ma**er, a CZ Scorpion, a Silver Eagle .410 autoloader, and get dies and components for any of them from our comprehensive reloading department. Holster, belts, tactical bags, and footwear sold in our store are backed-up by our in-house warranty repair shop.

In our boot department, you’ll have your feet custom measured, including arch and instep, not just heel-to-toe. Regardless of brand, style, or price-point, proper fitting is the most critical aspect of footwear retail. We are ASTONISHED that so few of our competitors take the time to measure a customer’s foot. It’s what a sincere shoe salesperson does. We do not allow any employee to sell boots in our store without being trained and supervised during fitting, for a full year.
