Porter Farms and Nursery has gorgeous buckets of these delicious gems ready for you to pick up at 3525 NC Highway 42 Willow Spring! They will have pick your own strawberries ready for your family outings in a couple weeks at the Willow Spring farm as well as their second patch on 10-10 Road in Raleigh. Venturing out to Willow Spring gets the added benefit of grabbing some fresh made ice cream in 17-20 different flavors. The farm stand is open Mon-Fri 8:30am-9pm Sat. 8am-9pm and Sun. 10am-9pm. Looking for a quick way to feel some holiday spirit? Grab a coat and a friend and head to Downtown Raleigh to take in 17 different life-size, lighted art installations by local NC artists in the 2023 Illuminate Art Walk sponsored by Raleigh Arts in partnership with Downtown Raleigh Alliance Limelight & Wireframe.The lights will be on display December 1st through January 5th. You can stroll Fayetteville street for FREE from Hargett Street down to the Performing Arts Center taking in all the beauty and fun because some of the art is interactive like “Talling Heads,” “Carolina Cacophony,” & “Threshold.” All of the art is located within the Sip n’ Stroll District of Downtown Raleigh so you can grab a drink from participating restaurants to make your walk a little more festive. If you want to add a little more fun while you’re strolling, head over to Red Hat Amphitheater to test out your ice skating skills at “The Rink.”

They are baskets filled with all the non-perishable food items you would want for a great Thanksgiving dinner. We have 15 more families that are feeling the financial pinch this year that we would like to bless their home with a basket that takes a stress off their plate. Head out this weekend to Ken's Korny Corn Maze at 3175 Benson Road Garner, NC for family fun getting lost and found in the corn maze, playing in the Adventure Zone and finish it off by taking a hayride! This weekend 9/22/23 - 9/24/23 will be the LAST Open Garden Days of 2023. You will have free access to tour the lush gardens, viewing and learning about nearly 30,000 varieties of plants, trees & shrubs grown on this beautiful 28 acre campus. Many of the plants you see will be available for sale at Plant Delights Nursery adjacent to the garden. Plan to spend an hour or more and wear comfortable shoes because the gardens offer many different areas to take in from shade & water gardens to drought tolerant gardens and all the flowering & pollinator gardens in between.
