Sunday Sentiments from my February 4th, 2024 Reflection !!

I waited on a client to come down from their home to get me for our scheduled 90min Mobile Session.. it was booked for 8am. As I waited I asked a stranger to take a picture of me feeling a bit blissful in the moment! It was the start of another blessed day that would allow me to serve four super amazing people through the gift of healing I have been granted ..truthfully it’s crazy that I have to call it work because I LOVE Massage Therapy deeply !!

As I progressed through the rest of the day and received a few posts about Black History Month and the greats that made major differences for the liberty/resources we are able to access today, I couldn’t help but consider the current history being made right now even as I type! The many trailblazers and influencers that have prospered through a choice to follow and live their dreams. I do not have enough words to express how blessed I am to see the Massage Therapist licensed after me flourishing as they are and honoring their talents courageously! I had very few representatives of ‘color’ to encourage me along my journey and the love they share amongst each other is too tier amazing!

So today I’m making another post for the history of VOLÉ and every single individual that has made us to be all that we are! There is so much in store for this blessed business and definitely so many more lives to touch as I continue to honor God for the endurance to continue. I can not tell you how many homes I have been trusted to enter and serve in, although I remember my very first client and paid session from 2010. I can not tell you how many bodies I have healed throughout the last decade, although I remember like yesterday when I actually accepted ‘the call’ to heal, while still completing the curriculum for school. I can not tell you how many times I failed or fell short throughout the matriculation of my career, although I can assure you that I have not ever quit my privilege to provide in this beautiful industry I claim. For that and so much more I am grateful beyond measure.

I encourage you to know this is your sign, message or whatever you want to call it — to take a moment to honor the history you have made for yourself and the difference you have been granted to provide for others (no matter what your ethnicity is). It may not be perfect, you may not be exactly where you want to be and you may have even lost some people/relationships you never thought would cease to exist BUT GOD has kept you through it all and that my friend is purpose! So refuel your passion on today and keep going! Run a little further just to see where the end will be and be sure to tell someone else, especially if they are brown like you, that you are proud of them for doing what the do because nobody else can do it how they (YOU) do.
