Our 2D Featured exhibit takes you on flights of fancy, as Jane Steelman Art's oil + cold wax paintings come to life with help of Augmented Reality! 😲 How does that work? Well, when you point your phone at a piece using the free phone app Artivive, the painting will appear to come to life with cool motion and sound effects! Here's an example, using Jane's painting "Snowy Day". There's no duck or falling snow in the actual painting... that's a digital overlay created by Jane... that goes into motion when you look at the painting through the app. Come check 'em all out! Well, when you point your phone at a piece using the free phone app Artivive, the painting will appear to come to life with cool motion and sound effects! Here's an example, using Jane's painting "Over the Falls". Intrigued? Join us this Friday from 6 - 8 pm and try it for yourself! Jane's paintings for this show are oil and cold wax. Cold Wax is an oil painting medium which is a buttery soft paste made of beeswax mixed with a small amount of solvent and resin.
