The First Responders of 9-11 need your help. Please contact our U. S. Senators and ask them to vote No on the Lee amendment, NO on the Paul amendment, and YES for HR 1327 to re-authorize the Victim Compensation Fund.

Just spoke with Paco from Rapid City Combat Team. They finished the top 6th team in the world in fire department teams in 2018 and 2nd in the United States in The 2018 season. From Casper to Rapid City, we are extremely proud of you and awesome job representing the bad ass western states.

This morning the Casper Firefighter Combat Challenge Team would like to extend our sincerest thanks to our community for all their support. With your help, Rodeo Rick's auctioneer skills, the Beacon Club, and many others, we were able to raise over $11,600 last night in a few short hours! Thank you so much! We will be using the funds to travel to some regional competitions and then world's later this fall.

We love representing and serving this great community and look forward to doing so for many years. If ever you need anything, we will be here for you, as you've been there for us. Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Are you still wondering if you should come to Thankful Thursday tonight at The Beacon Club? Well, here's a pretty good reason to say yes! A one of a kind painted fire helmet by Engineer Bill Bohman. This year's theme was Casper and includes the night skyline of our city and a depiction of Casper Fire-EMS Departments old Truck 1. As always, amazing work Bill!

Another fantastic auction item tonight is a custom made collapsible fire pit to take along camping courtesy of the talented folks from Western Energy Fabrication.

Here is another big ticket item for tomorrow's auction! Wyoming Gear Builders will design and create for you a custom hunting pack! These pictures are of a recent creation by owner/operator Cameron Siplon. Winner gets to help design their pack and select options such as style, size, and camo patterns from WGB stock. Good morning Casper, in particular the ladies! Here are two more auction packages that will be available at our Thankful Thursday on the 15th. They were put together by Dr. Roussalis' office and include some absolutely amazing products and services! This really is the good stuff! Make sure you stop by The Beacon Club this Thursday night if you want a chance to win them!

Next auction item! A day trip for you and your family/friends to hunt for fossils on a private ranch outside of Douglas, Wyoming! The trip will be led by Dr. Kent Sundell, a Geology professor at Casper College who has been fossil hunting the area around Douglas for almost 40 years! He has found over 4,000 total specimens that now reside in museums all around the world! You get to keep almost any fossils you find, with some restrictions regarding extremely rare specimens. This trip is all inclusive and always a treat for kiddos!

The combat team is excited to announce that we will be doing another Thankful Thursday fundraiser this year! Our date will be next week, September 15th. The evening gets started at 5:00pm at The Beacon Club, with raffles, auctions, and a great time! A huge thanks to Rodeo Rick, My Country 95.5, and The Beacon Club for putting these on for our local groups. Mark your calenders and keep your eyes open the next few days for previews of some of our auction items!

Sunday September 11 2016 will mark the 15th anniversary of one of the worst tragedys in this great nation and stands as the single worst day in the American Fire Service. To pay tribute to those firefighters,police and EMS workers who perished that day, members of many emergency response agencies will climb the downtown parking structure stairs 22 times, totallying 110 stories. There will be a small opening ceremony that morning at 7:45, a moment of silence at 7:59( this is the time that the first tower fell) and crews will begin their accent and decent on the parking structure. In closing, if you're driving by and are wondering what everyone was doing in full firefighting structure gear; we are just paying tribute to the fallen.

We will be busting our tails to make sure no glass goes empty and all your favorite pizzas are piping hot. We will be selling t-shirts and hats as well. We are having a fundraising fitness event at Lifetime Health and Fitness on this Saturday at 9 am at Lifetime Health And Fitness. This event will consist of workouts geared toward the movements associated with firefighting. Cost is $40.00 per person.

Have you ever wanted to run the Combat Challenge Course? On June 4th you can get your chance! The Casper Combat Team and Lifetime Health and Fitness are sponsoring a fundraiser on June 4th starting at 9 am at Lifetime where we will have a shared burden workout (teams of 3 or 4 complete a bunch of exercises) and then head to the drill tower to complete the course. The best 3 times of team members is compiled into a team time. The winner gets bragging rights! This is a fun fundraiser designed to promote fitness and to let people see how the course feels firsthand! Come out, support the team and be ready to work out!

The team has made it to the final night at worlds here in Alabama. That's out of 600+ firefighters, 14 country's, and 7 Canadian provinces. Our own Thomas Rorbach got inducted into the lions den tonight. Strong work Tom! You can watch the live stream tomorrow. Comp starts at 3pm. Thanks for all your support as it means a lot to the team. We will make Casper proud!

Back to back champions! Today four of your Casper Firefighters represented well in the REV3Adventure Casper Strong, winning the Govornor's Cup for a second straight year! The Governor's Cup is sponsored by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and they will be making a $7,500 donation to the Benevolent Fund as requested by the winning team. This money goes to help local firefighters who are battling difficulties such as medical bills. Thanks to REV3 and Anadarko for putting this event on. We will see you next year!
