The participants and DSPs of I-REACH 2, Inc. have been volunteers at the Casper Humane Society for nearly 15 years! This kind of volunteer work is exceptional for all involved. It's relaxing for the DSPs, calm and engaging for the participants, and provides socialization and a sense of normalcy for the animals housed at the shelter. Bryce has been employed at Smiths for 7 years. Bryce understands the reasons for maintaining two jobs are because he has bills to pay (Bryce owns his own home) and he likes to spend money on travel and video games. This year's featured Quick Draw auction artist is Sonja Jackson!

Sonja originally hails from Newcastle and currently resides in Cody, where she hikes and spends time outdoors searching for inspiration for her art. A self-taught artist, she has been painting for most of her life, balancing her art career with nursing and raising a family. She decided to become a full-time artist in January of 2024. Sonja's favorite subjects are wildlife, Western art and landscapes and her primary medium is oils.

Bryce has worked at the Casper Country Club for over 2 years. He says he likes being around his work family, and being able to save up to go on trips. He says he feels proud when he can have all the dishes done before shift change!

Volunteering and giving back to the community is a HUGE part of what our participants at I-REACH 2, Inc. do – whether it's to gain work experience, or just to contribute where help is needed! Chris volunteers at Restoration Church two times per week, assisting with the set-up and clean-up of student lunches. His co-volunteers say that he is a dependable and steady worker. Chris has shared that he really enjoys giving back to his community, and giving his co-workers a "hard time." He says his co-volunteers are like family. He will be missing them over the summer break. Great job, Chris!

Disability group hosts annual June Jam I-Reach 2 hosted its annual June Jam on June 19, 2024.
