The rain held off long enough for us to get in a quick hike this weekend. The increased moisture has enhanced the beauty of our surroundings. Everything is so green and lush! We were able to get in a beautiful hike and boost our endorphins with some forest bathing. Grateful to live in such a beautiful state.

What are chakras? In Sanskrit the word “chakra” means “disc” or “wheel” and refers to different energy centers in the body. Each chakra corresponds to a different organ of the body. They each also correspond to different emotions and energies. The chakras run from the base of the base of your spine (root), to the top of your head (crown). If your chakras are blocked, there can be depletion of energy and health. Different ways to unblock energy include yoga, breathing and meditation. If you aren’t sure where to start to unblock and balance your chakras, working with an energy healer or Reiki practitioner can be a good start.

What brings you energy? What recharges your battery? For me, it is the mountains and the ocean. Climbing to peaks, feeling the warm sun on my face, listening to the wind blowing through the trees, while smelling the fresh pines. Or diving through crystal blue waters, being one with the underwater inhabitants. Seeing the world through a different lens. These moments bring healing and calmness to my soul. When I find myself in the craziness of life, I can mentally bring myself to these memories. Shifting my mindset and state of being into a more calm and neutral state. What brings you energy?
