Introducing the Hager family!

Dr Hager and his wife, Sommer are high school sweethearts, having been together for almost 12 years. Dr Hager is the ultimate “Girl Dad” with 3 little ladies under his roof! The Hagers are so excited to be in Colorado and quickly are taking to all that Castle Rock has to offer, especially the parks and libraries!

Samuel Hager is an Osteopathic Physician who specializes in hands-on care known as Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Hager earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA, where he received the Clinical Discipline Award in Osteopathic Manual Medicine and held membership in the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society.

Dr. Hager completed his post-graduate training in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) in Las Cruces, NM. He represented his fellow residents on the Review Committee for ONMM, a component of the American Council for Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Hager is a member of the American Academy of Osteopathy and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy.

Dr. Hager attended Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN, graduating magna cm laude with a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and a minor in theology. He held membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society and earned a Certification in Health Care Ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center.

Dr. Hager grew up in Bismarck, ND. After his undergraduate education, Dr. Hager returned to his hometown to work as a nursing assistant at a local hospital. Working in the hospital taught Dr. Hager the importance of personal connection and the power of being present to another person. He enjoys helping people navigate complex problems to find better health.

Our physician chose to be a DO because the philosophy of osteopathic medicine lined up with how he wanted to treat patients. We use a whole person approach and get to the root cause of issues in a compassionate and personalized manner.

Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, uses a patients own platelets, which contain growth factors, directly onto the injured site to start the healing process. PRP can be used to treat a range of musculoskeletal issues like tendon, ligament, muscle and joint injuries.

We have had patients come to us to see if they could avoid surgery. After completing a few rounds of PRP (typically 2-3 rounds are needed), their issues were resolved and surgery was not needed.
