While teaching Kindergarteners last year, a sad little girl came to me at my desk and said "I just want to go home to my puppy, then eat a banana.." 🥹

I wanted to hug her and cry at the same time. 🥹
I love kids, their honesty, their zest for life and their want to be happy is so simple, so mundane. If there is one thing that I wish for my children as they grow up, is for them to never lose their childlike wonder, to always seek what makes them happy. to live simply. To want to just go home, cuddle their puppy, then eat a banana. 😀😀
