LISTEN UP, NEWLY COPPER BABES!🍒 Your cowboy copper is going to fade to yeehaw yellow if you don't keep up with your maintenance. Red is the largest of all the color molecules, this means that the actual pigment cannot go deep into your hair strand and leads to fading very fast. It is not just the "cowboy copper" trend, but with all red pigments. However, we will be focusing on the the upkeep options of the "cowboy copper" trend. One thing to keep in mind is color fades quicker with regular hot tool use (especially without heat protectant) , swimming chemicals, non professional shampoo/conditioner, stripping shampoos, etc. Here is our recommended maintenance options: IN SALON Gloss ( every 4-6 weeks): A "Gloss", or also referred to as toner. This is an in salon option that will refresh your color, closes your cuticle, adds shine and manageability. Gloss will penetrate the hair and last longer than its "direct dye" counterpart. AT HOME Color depositing products (every 2-4 weeks) This option is a is what is called a "direct dye". It works similarly to a toning purple shampoo, however it has a more pigment. The depositing pigment in the product works similar to a stain and does not penetrate into the hair strand. This maintenance option comes in many forms such as: color depositing conditioning treatment, color depositing shampoos, color depositing conditioner. this option does not last as long as it's in salon counter part but is a more affordable option.
