I recently visited my family and we busted out the photo album. Seeing this picture brought me to tears because I can remember that age… and how happy and care free I was.
It reminded me that she’s still inside my heart 💜

Have you ever sat down to journal all the pain you’ve overcome in your life and realized, “Wow, that’s a lot!”
I just did that today to see how far I’ve come and why I feel so passionate about helping women break through their self-doubts, limitations, and insecurities.
They say your mess becomes your message, so I guess it’s about to get real, ladies.
I’m ready to open up more, share my story, and weave some magical transformation into the lives of others.
The biggest thing I keep coming back to is the idea of helping women to activate their dark feminine energy.

Feeling disconnected from your body or are you in your head all the time? Try this! ⬇️
Feminine movement, like sensual dance, is all about getting into a flow state and into your BODY.
Flow state is when you aren’t thinking with the conscious mind, but are allowing yourself to be connected to pure source energy, which moves through you effortlessly.
A simple embodiment practice you can use to start getting into this flow state, and connection with yourself, is to put on a song and allow your body to freely move to that song.
No judgment, no particular dance moves in mind, just pure expression. See what comes through!
It also happens to be really fun! Next time you are feeling disconnected, or too much in your head, try this practice to immediately shift your state.

You know what I’m talking about…
…the job that is causing you so much stress but you are afraid to try something else.
…that situationship that you know is not the best, but for some reason you keep going back for more.

Liberating yourself from your own self-imposed prison is the only way to get what you truly want.

Here’s how I learned to listen to my intuition after years of self-doubt…
Intuition is that whispering voice deep inside of you that sometimes only speaks once, so it’s important to recognize what it sounds like.
I used to question if that little voice was true, or if I was just making it up or having paranoid thoughts.
So, I practiced listening when the stakes were low.
For example:
You know when you are about to leave your house and you get a thought out of nowhere like “I should grab a jacket.”
But, then your logical brain kicks in and is like, I’m just going to my friend’s house and back, and it’s warm out, I don’t need it. So you ignore the thought.
Then, by chance, your friend wants to take you out to dinner and the restaurant is freezing 🥶.
And you have that familiar thought, “Dang I should’ve listened to that voice.”
If you learn to listen to that voice in little situations like this more and more, you practice exercising that intuition muscle.
So, when you need your intuition in more serious situations (like if you should date someone or take that job) you are more confident listening to that voice.

Your wounds are your teachers… Your soul’s curriculum that prepares you perfectly for your purpose.
The obstacles you overcame are the exact lessons your soul came here to learn, as long as you don’t get stuck in the story.
My friend went through unspeakable traumas, and is now using her medicine as a womb shaman, helping other women heal.
She is helping me heal 🫶🏻
And, she is a beautiful example of this principle in action.
She had a choice:
1. Let her traumas rule her life.
2. Transmute the energy and let it serve as a guide for others going through the same thing to heal.
One of my most important values is self-healing and I knew I had unresolved trauma in my womb due to health problems, toxic relationships, and abandoning my truth.
So, if I want to help women align to their truth, heal their relationship to their body through sensuality, and balance their feminine energy… then I have to walk the talk too.

This is the same day after doing some myofascial release techniques and posture training.
Picture 1: notice the curve in my low back and the position of my belly between the two pics.
Picture 2: my shoulders are more engaged and not drooping forward. Also notice the position of my hands and the gap between my arm and body.
I’m having trouble with my hip from years of pole dancing and being in high heels—yikes!

Functional Patterns addresses your fascia first, which is a web-like organ that connects your entire body.
If you have knots in your fascia, stretching and working out can make things worse, much like stretching a rubber band that has a knot in it… stretching won’t release the knot, it’ll just stretch the rubber on either side and put more tension on the knot.
The wound-up fascia tissue pulls on your muscles, which moves your skeletal system out of alignment. So, lifting heavy weights while having structural imbalances can cause further imbalances.
Without being too long-winded, basically, you don’t want to stretch or do weightlifting or other strenuous exercises before releasing this wound-up fascia.
Then, you want to focus on functional movements that the human body was meant to do: standing, walking, running, throwing.
It’s a really interesting approach, not only to fitness, but for healing the body from injuries, restoring proper joint function, and empowering the body to move more powerfully.

Never thought I would live at the beach, but life brought me here to heal and start over.
After 3 years in Charleston, I can say that I’ve made a nice home for myself, great friends, and fun memories.
As a new year is starting, I’m focusing on a lot of personal healing and I have a feeling I’m not the only one.
So, to everyone out there who is working on something hard right now, or going through it, just remember that you aren’t alone.
And, I am sending rays of sunshine to you 🌞
Winter is meant to be a time to reflect, go within, and regenerate. Doing the work now means you’ll be ready to plant seeds when the spring rolls around.

We all need a good reminder every now and then. The holidays can be an emotional time and hard for a lot of people. 💆♀️
I want to remind you that no matter how you feel right now, there is a light inside of you that is pure love. The frequency of love resonates in every cell.
An easy way to tap into this is to think about something you love unconditionally, like a puppy.
Feel that sensation in your heart then let it spread throughout you. Practice this often, especially when you start to feel down.

Are you always second-guessing your decisions?
Do you feel confident when you are making a big decision in your life?
Do you even know what confidence feels like in your body?
I started out confident as a kid, and then little by little, I unlearned confidence through my conditioning at school.
I was teased by other kids for being too athletic, too smart, ugly, weird, too goofy.
I learned to hide and keep my mouth shut.
The feedback from the world told me that I had to blend in to fit in.
To be successful, but not too successful.
To be pretty, but not too attractive.
Basically, I was given such mixed signals about what society wanted, that I had no idea what I even wanted.
It took me years to reclaim the confident queen I am today through learning to trust myself again.
This is part of the de-conditioning work that I do with women now, because I notice that so many women don’t own who they are and what they want.
They are insecure because they don’t trust themselves (but it’s really the mixed messages they’ve received their entire life).
When you learn to shed the stories keeping you small, and start trusting yourself, your intuition, and what you want… then confidence is the natural result.

So, what’s the point?
Letting ourselves get ‘turned on’ in non-s3xual contexts, taps us into our sensual essence.
The part of us that senses, and feels pleasure.
Turn on to me means your energy is activated, and the more you allow yourself to FEEL and be activated, the more you are able to be in touch with what you really enjoy.
This goes for the bedroom, but also, what you enjoy in your career, your hobbies, and your relationships.
Our turn-on is a barometer for what gives us energy. ✨

Literally, I see almost every woman that I know doing this in some area of their life.
Maybe she’ll stay in that toxic relationship a little too long…even though it’s causing her immense pain.
Maybe she’s staying in a job that stresses her the eff out when she knows she has so many other options.
Or perhaps she knows she needs support in her life, but she’s too afraid to ask and be “bothersome.”
I’m calling all the women in my life up…to not only embrace their truth, but ACT ON IT.
Sometimes we learn a hard lesson when we don’t listen, but try not to keep learning the hard lessons, babe.
Especially, when you already KNOW the truth.
