Suby Shack
I've now moved from "Certifiable Subaru Crazy" to Subaru Ambassador. I'd like to thank Subaru for choosing me to help promote the brand. Long description
So who thought it was a good Idea to build an addition over the well? Not me I bought it that way. So am I dumber than the one who done it?
Looking for submersible well pump gurus. Curious about the reliability of the common shrink wrap kits for this application. Can it be that simple? Can you actually use just un-vulcanized rubber tape? Those who have done it please advise on your experience. This well is only accessed through our bedroom floor so I don't really want to do it again.
An interesting Legacy fact I've not known till today
The Subaru Legacy Still Holds This Incredible Speed Record from 1989 A Legacy of speed: Though Subaru's mid-size sedan is retiring in 2025, it will go out still holding a 100,000-km speed record for the 1.5–2.0-liter class.
Hope to get to this

Having got the perfect college car off the lift and back in the drivable line, I figured I'd tackle my other put off repair on the imposter. My Miata has been telling me it's running temp is too cool. Heater and defrost were working good enough so again when it warmed up enough to play in antifreeze I figured I'd address it. Saturday was the day. I hate cooling fluid on the garage floor but I always get some there. Pretty straight forward. Amazing to me the only sockets needed were a 10 mm and an 8 mm. I had to get the 8mm from the basement where I keep it to work on my model airplanes. I suppose the fasteners this size have done the job for 70k miles and I suppose they'll work for another 70k. I also found it strange there is a 5/8" +- hose that basically bypasses the thermostat, Probably heater supply hose but strange to me that it bypasses the thermostat. Removed the housing and thermostat, cleaned the mounting surface and installed the new one. Had to remove the throttle body just to see the darn thing. 4 more small fasteners. Refilled the system and test run. Couldn't get the coolant temp above 186 F without driving the car. Seemed funny to me but others had stated the same behavior. Off into the rain and the temp went right up to 196 F. Took a short trip and back to the garage to see if I had any leaks and confirm the fans were working. At the 160 f High temp I was getting the fans never ran. Fans active .... Check. No leaks .... Check. No tools riding under the hood .... Check, Check. Imposter ready for service with better gas mileage and no cel. Now to clean up the coolant mess. Ug.
A good Saturday at the Shack. Perfect college car was down for a couple weeks with a misfire on #2. Kaitlyn had issues with this while at school. Diagnosed via phone. Might have been out of gas but she put injector cleaner in it and the problem cleared up. (she also filled the gas tank) Nearly a year later it came back so had been short tripping it with injector cleaner. To cold and a low priority vehicle so working the lazy angle pretty hard on this repair till it warmed up. So rainy warm winter day decided to dig in. I swapped a different coil pack on it. No dice. So decided to swap another plug wire in, Aha. When I removed the plug wire I got all the wire, the insulation but not the clip that clips on the plug. I found this out when the new to the car plug wire would no go down in the hole. After inspecting the one I took out I could clearly see no metal clip existed. Had to remove the battery to remove the remnant clip. Removed the plug just to check burn pattern, looked A O K. Reinstalled, Installed wire and wa la, college car hitting on all four. What always amazes me they idle ok but cause issue under load. I suppose it's voltage supplied under load that makes it misfire.
❤️ Wonderful idea!
So cool.
Seems like a good Idea
Interesting
Two singers from Ireland uploaded an Adele cover that would trigger a series of extraordinary events. Their beautiful harmonies instantly went viral when they uploaded their performance to the internet. The video got shared so many times that Adele actually saw it herself. Not long after, the two Irish singers had tickets to see Adele perform in Dublin, little did they know, she was planning to invite them on stage to sing in front of thousands of people. During the concert, Adele spoke directly to them saying, "Will you sing to them what you sang online?". What they did on stage was simply breathtaking. Watch video in comments below 👇

. . Love this wild '59 Chevy Panel. Built and owned by Ryan Evans, it is layered in many styles of paint techniques that set it off. Of course it doesn't hurt that it's purple too. . . MB . 🤪🤩💜😎
