What to Avoid When Looking at Ingredients in your Pet Food
1. Organic Barley, rice, grains
2. 🚨 BHA and BHG are preservatives that should never be used for Pets.
3. High Fructose Syrups
4. Avoid toxins, flavor enhancers, preservatives
5. Meat “By Products” and General “Meat” Listed Ingredients
* Meat Meal could be anything attached to a meat, beaks, feathers, bones
* By products are all the pieces and parts left over after the meat is out
Including road kill rats etc.
Things to look for when choosing ingredients in your pet food
1. Raw is the best option
2. Made in the US
3 Low fat content
4 Protein should be the top ingredient 30% crude protein or better especially for puppies
* other ingredients should be whole food vegetables and fruits
* Avoid grains and carbs not natural for dogs or cats
5 Dehydrated Raw food mix with water is the second best option
