💭 Friday Thoughts:
Do you hate exercising?
I hear people say “I hate exercising” all the time! And for me, my perspective of exercise is completely different of course. But, exercise should feel good (& sometimes challenging if we want to change) and have a positive influence on our daily habits. It should never be prescribed as a punishment (for adults and for kids; punishing kids with exercise is a conversation for a different day 🙃).
☝🏾I do believe that most dislike exercise due to personal experiences, not finding the right “FIT,” lack of social support, access, or maybe trying something that doesn’t align with who they are and not feeling successful.
▫️Exercise should improve your health.
▫️Exercise is the fountain of youth (amongst other things).
▫️Exercise is universal - it works for everyone!
▫️Exercise may feel challenging at times, but should always make you feel accomplished, or at the least, proud of yourself.
So, if you had a funky week with exercise, try again next week. Give exercise a chance. Create a list of activities/workouts that you enjoy and do that. I promise you’ll be in a much better space, physically and mentally.

Someone asked me the other day “How are you doing?” It’s so common for me to just say, “I’m good.” But instead I told them “I feel like I’m living on purpose.”
And I really do!
I’ve been intentional about only committing to things that feel good. Things that propel me to new heights in my career and personal life.
I’m showing up and staying in my lane this year. I’ll let God do the rest ✌🏾

My last progress pic was July..so I decided to check in to capture my upper body progress. This is a 5/6 year difference (back when I didn’t lift as much as I do now, and ran nonstop!). I definitely like how things are taking shape👌🏾
