Linda’s ~Passion
Linda has loved barn quilts for years, ever since the start of the barn quilt trail. Her and Robert travel a lot on the Can Am and she takes pictures of waterfalls and barn quilts. At first she was buying a couple from the Quilt Square Girls(in Jefferson) but soon decided she could paint them if she could get the patterns on the boards. Enter me. I love math and the designs are nothing more than math and drawing straight lines. I bought a couple of boards (wrong kind of boards!) and we primed them, looked at some designs and out comes the calculator and pencils and rulers. Turned out we were a pretty good team.
I love the calculations and taping, she loves the painting and has the patience for all the little touch up details. With the help of some people we discovered the right board to buy and a supplier, found a source for 8 oz cans of exterior paint and started our thing. Fills in our retirement time and gives us something to do when it is too cold to be outside.
We are located in Statesville North Carolina. Our life began in Tuscumbia Alabama many years ago but always been in the south.
By the way if I ever refer to “T***s” on here it is Linda. The last 50 years she has been T***s to me and my kids and grandkids so it is a real stretch for me to refer to her as Linda!
