Time to look back on winter sports & the off-season … and to charge into spring lax season!

Good luck to all of our Hawks who are preparing for high school tryouts and a successful spring season!

⭐️ PLAYER SPOTLIGHT:
🥍 Will Dressel, #2 - LSM, Defense

Long Poles are the enforcers. They are the players who are capable of dictating to the opponents where they can go, and where they will be punished for going. And Will Dressel does just that with his impressive level of physical play, endurance, and ability to pivot on the fly. Years of experience playing both piano and guitar helps Will feel the rhythm of the game and be able to stay in tune with each beat his opponent makes. As for speed and agility, he continued to improve during the off season on the court as #22 for Western Albemarle High’s freshmen team.

The TBT gods have spoken and provided us with yet another gem!

Currently you might find Coach Oakey on the lax sidelines for more than one team or hear him off the field giving a motivational moment to players.

But back in the day, Henry Oakey was found between the sidelines, grinding and placing his best foot forward to add a little “frosting” for UVA.

🥍 Luke Breslin #7, Midfielder/Faceoff
Swift on his feet, this play maker launches from the faceoff and quickly moves the ball though the defense. During the off-season Luke enhances his swiftness, ball movement and game sense ballin’ on the court for Covenant Varsity Eagles.

Force to be reckoned with at the faceoff and near the cage. What’s his off season secret to keeping a strong game sense, building agility, and maintaining a fierce edge? Grinding on the football field as #25 for St Anne’s-Belfield (STAB) or catching some waves offshore.
