I found over the years that a functional workout plan that was; 1. beginner and intermediate friendly, and 2. able to be performed at home with no equipment, was nearly impossible to find.

So, I personally wrote and tested a plan myself. Even though it is written as a basic (beginner) plan it can be easily modified to be easier or more difficult.

It’s been well over a month since I’ve trained at all. Definitely rusty 🤦

Finally got some training in.
It’s been a while, and I found out I’m a little rusty, but it was nice to get out there and run a rifle and pistol a bit.

Fitness is just as important to your personal safety as concealed carry. You don’t need to be a world class athlete, you just need to be fit enough to save your own life and those you love. Figure out what that looks like for you and set your goal. For some it may mean the ability to run/sprint to safety, or fight off an attacker, or even carry your children while running or walking for a long distance. Determine your needs and train for it!

The Bill Drill is drawing and firing 6 rounds as fast as possible. Hard to see but all of my hits were in the numbers so I’m pleased. I don’t usually run outside the waistband and I’ve only shot this gun about 3 times! Train outside of your norm every once in a while. You never know what could happen and you need to be prepared. Don’t get to comfortable.

Work on drawing and shooting while moving. In a self defense situation there will be an immediate threat to your safety. You won’t be standing still!

This is what I generally carry on a day to day basis.

This is a good drill. You can literally run this drill 12 times with one box of ammo. Give it a try! Train safe.

Attempted 5 rounds at 25 yards in 5 seconds. Ended up missing one so I fired 6 rounds. 5.66 secs not to bad.
